POSITION OVERVIEW
The Marketing Specialist is responsible for the execution of all Marketing activities for the Alberta region, including managing regional brand activities, coordinating regional sales driven marketing initiatives, managing GS1 and other regional customer portals, and supporting operations driven product changes.
SKILLS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Self-starter and ability to independently move projects forward, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
Ability to think critically and problem solve.
Superior communication (oral & written) skills. French considered an asset.
Positive attitude and outgoing personality, with the ability to engage and interact with internal and external stakeholders.
Strong computer skills, with excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Workplace.
Exceptional organizational skills and ability to coordinate multiple projects within tight timelines.
Demonstrated analytical skills, with experience in KPI and ROI tracking, reporting and analytics.
Degree, diploma, or certification in Marketing and/or Business.
3-6 years marketing experience, with a creative mindset.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Brand Management
Work collaboratively as part of Marketing Team to develop brand marketing strategy.
Manage execution of brand marketing plans (traditional and digital).
Manage communication of marketing campaigns to internal and external stakeholders.
Manage POS and packaging development with asset creators.
Source and manage promotional items.
Coordinate regional events (e.g., tradeshows).
Market Research and Analytics
Analyze and report on the performance of all marketing activity against plan.
Assist in gathering and analyzing market research.
Prepare marketing activity reports for sales teams.
Track industry trends and provide recommendations during marketing strategy sessions.
Assist in sku rationalization processes.
Marketing Administration
Maintain marketing and tradeshow activity calendars.
Maintain shared archives of marketing resources such as POS materials, packaging and tradeshow assets.
Coordinate operations driven packaging changes.
Manage item set up on customer portals and ECC Net/GS1.
Process marketing invoices and track marketing spending.
General
Develop and maintain successful working relationships with colleagues throughout the organization.
Live by the organization's mission, vision and values.
Other duties as assigned.
