About Heron


Heron is a Montreal-based boutique watch brand creating vintage-inspired mechanical timepieces for modern collectors. Each model is rooted in design history--then reinterpreted with unexpected details, refined specs, and small-batch manufacturing.

We're a two-person team that's grown organically through loyal customers, strong storytelling, and a focused design language. Now, as we expand into new collections, more watch shows, and larger collaborations, we're looking to bring someone into the fold who can help us turn momentum into meaningful growth.

The Role: Marketing & Public Relations Coordinator


This role is all about amplifying Heron's story--through content, community, and collaboration.

You'll help bring our collections to life across email, social, and web. You'll pitch and coordinate content with watch media, blogs, influencers, and magazines. And you'll represent the brand at major watch shows in

Toronto, New York, and Los Angeles

, helping plan our presence, meet collectors, and support content capture during events.

What You'll Be Doing:



Email & Content Marketing



Write engaging newsletters (launches, restocks, interviews, product stories) Coordinate campaign calendars and maintain welcome flows Repurpose customer reviews, behind-the-scenes updates, and photography into branded content

Social Media & Community



Plan and schedule content across Instagram and WatchCrunch Source and post UGC (user-submitted wrist shots, reviews, etc.) Brainstorm and write captions, carousel ideas, stories

Brand Partnerships & PR



Pitch and coordinate features with watch blogs, magazines, and newsletters Identify potential collaborators (influencers, content creators, YouTubers) and lead initial outreach Support interviews, Q&As, or guest content projects Maintain a growing list of press relationships and leads

Watch Show Support (Travel Involved)



Help plan and prep materials for shows (booth layout, postcards, signage, etc.) Represent Heron at events--talk with press, influencers, and collectors Capture on-site content (stories, interviews, booth footage) Help coordinate pre-show promotions and post-show follow-ups

Creative (Canva or Equivalent)



Use Canva or similar tools to format clean, branded visuals for email, social media, and print Support asset creation for shows, marketing decks, and PR kits

What We're Looking For



1-3 years in marketing, public relations, communications, or content coordination Strong copywriting skills (clear, personable, brand-aligned tone) Highly organized and comfortable managing content calendars and campaigns Familiar with email marketing tools, Canva, Instagram, and Google Sheets Basic design sense -- you don't need to illustrate, but a strong eye for layout, clean typography, and visual clarity is a must

Optional:

Comfortable traveling 2-4x per year for watch shows (expenses covered)

Bonus:

Familiarity with the watch world, design culture, or niche luxury brands

Position Details

Heron est une marque horlogere independante basee a Montreal. On concoit des montres mecaniques inspirees du design vintage, repensees pour les collectionneurs d'aujourd'hui. Chaque modele s'appuie sur des codes classiques, mais avec des details inattendus, des finitions soignees, et une fabrication en petites series.

On est une petite equipe de deux, qui a grandi grace a une communaute fidele, un design assume et un bouche-a-oreille solide. Tu vas :

Donner vie a nos collections par l'infolettre, les reseaux et le site web Collaborer avec des blogs, magazines, influenceurs et createurs de contenu Representer la marque dans des salons horlogers comme

Toronto, New York ou Los Angeles

Participer a la creation de contenu sur place, aux echanges avec la presse, et a la preparation des evenements

Marketing & infolettres



Rediger des courriels engageants : lancements, coulisses, nouveautes Planifier les campagnes et ameliorer nos sequences automatisees Mettre en valeur les avis clients, les photos recues et nos histoires de produit

Reseaux sociaux & communaute



Planifier et publier du contenu (Instagram, WatchCrunch) Rediger des legendes, stories, idees de carrousels Repartager les photos et temoignages de clients

Partenariats & relations medias



Rechercher et approcher des medias specialises, blogueurs, createurs, magazines Coordonner les collaborations et les echanges de contenu Maintenir un carnet de contacts (presse, influence, etc.)

Salons horlogers (avec deplacement)



Aider a la preparation des salons (kiosque, materiel, visuels) Etre sur place avec nous pour representer la marque et capter du contenu Gerer la communication avant et apres les evenements

Creation de visuels (Canva ou equivalent)



Creer des visuels simples, propres et alignes avec notre image Aider avec les presentations, les infolettres, les dossiers de presse
Profil recherche

1 a 3 ans d'experience en marketing, communication ou coordination de contenu A l'aise avec la redaction : ton clair, humain, professionnel sans etre trop formel Sens de l'organisation, rigueur, et bonne autonomie Connaissance des outils : Canva, Instagram, infolettres (Klaviyo ou autre), Google Sheets Bon oeil visuel : pas besoin d'etre graphiste, mais tu dois maitriser la typographie, la mise en page, et la clarte visuelle A l'aise avec l'idee de voyager quelques fois par annee pour des evenements (frais payes)

interet pour l'univers horloger, les objets de design, ou les marques de niche
