Roles and Responsibilities



The Marketing Manager is focused on driving brand visibility, customer engagement, and sales performance at the retail level through highly integrated, multi-channel campaigns, promotions, in-store experiences, and consistent brand execution -- all within the defined regulatory framework.

Reporting to the Director of Marketing and Loyalty, the Marketing Manager will play a key role in translating brand strategies into impactful initiatives that connect with customers and support retail success.

Key Responsibilities



Marketing Strategy & Campaign Planning



Design and implement integrated and multi-channel marketing campaigns that align with revenue goals and brand positioning Lead national and localized programs across digital, traditional, and in-store channels to maximize reach and effectiveness Align marketing efforts with customer insights, retail opportunities, and market trends Define and support customer personas and segmentation strategies that inform campaign design Collaborate with leadership to align marketing programs with broader organizational priorities

Retail-Focused Promotions & Activations



Lead the planning and execution of cross-channel promotional initiatives, product education campaigns, and customer-facing retail events (where permitted) Work closely with regional and store teams to tailor campaigns by location and ensure front-line engagement Ensure that all campaign elements meet Health Canada and provincial cannabis marketing regulations Measure promotional performance and adjust activations in real-time for optimal impact

Customer Engagement & Loyalty Marketing



Support the development of lifecycle and loyalty programs that increase retention and repeat visits Implement omnichannel strategies to deepen engagement, from email and SMS to in-store experiences Collaborate with analytics teams to grow customer insights and refine targeting across channels Report on KPIs including loyalty engagement, frequency, and LTV

In-Store Brand Execution



Ensure consistency in brand presence across all retail environments through cohesive campaigns and messaging Partner with Store Ops and Category teams on in-store campaign setup, signage, and promotional support Support new store openings with integrated launch campaigns across digital, traditional, and physical channels Conduct store audits and provide feedback loops to inform continuous improvement

Content Creation & Social Media



Develop engaging, brand-aligned content for use in campaigns across email, web, social, and in-store displays Manage a cohesive editorial calendar that supports major campaigns and local needs Ensure all messaging is on-brand, compliant, and optimized for the intended channel and audience

Website & Digital Oversight



Ensure promotional offers and brand messaging are consistently reflected across the website and menu platforms Coordinate updates and content with digital vendors, ensuring timeliness and compliance Contribute to SEO and traffic performance through campaign-based content planning and landing page development

Brand Stewardship & Budget Management



Lead the end-to-end planning, execution, and performance tracking of fully integrated marketing campaigns across digital, in-store, and traditional media Maintain brand guidelines and consistency across all touchpoints Own the annual marketing calendar and campaign pipeline, managing timelines, deliverables, and interdependencies Act as project lead across cross-functional teams to ensure campaigns are delivered on time and within budget Oversee marketing spend and report on campaign performance, ROI, and channel effectiveness

Qualifications:



Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, communications, or a related field 7+ years of experience in marketing, preferably with retail or regulated product industries Demonstrated experience building and managing multi-channel, integrated marketing campaigns Cannabis industry experience is a strong asset Exceptional project management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple deadlines Deep understanding of brand strategy, digital marketing, loyalty, and traditional advertising Creative thinker with a strong analytical and data-informed mindset Excellent communication and leadership abilities Knowledge of Health Canada cannabis marketing regulations and compliance requirements Proven track record of building high-performing, collaborative teams
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
