Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced, strategic Marketing Manager to join a marketing team that plays a critical role in the growth of CSA Group, ultimately leading to a safer world.

The Marketing Manager will set the strategic marketing direction for their respective areas with a focus on Advocacy, Memberships & Events.

The ideal candidate will be both strategic and analytical, leveraging marketing best practices and data analytics to create impactful marketing campaigns. This role will foster cross-functional collaboration both within and outside the organization and effectively leverage marketing channels (traditional, digital, social, events) to implement successful Marketing strategies.

A cross-functional role requiring;

Strategic omnichannel marketing planning (Traditional, Digital, Content, Events, Email)

Event Marketing

Event Planning support

Awareness-building advocacy campaigns and collateral support for Government Relations, Public Policy and Memberships

Volunteer member Recruitment, Engagement & Retention campaigns

Understanding of Standards Development, Government Relations, Public Policy, Events, and volunteer Memberships

KPIs & Reporting

Competitive Analysis & Research

Creative marketing tactic development

Value Proposition development

Budget Management

Responsibilities:

Responsible for the creation of annual strategic marketing plans aligned to Standards strategic objectives.

Build integrated, omni channel marketing programs to support objectives across different channels in alignment with the overall Standards strategy.

Execute marketing plans with strategic tactics from start to finish.

Lead creative development of campaigns and support collateral for Government Relations and Public Policy departments

Lead creative development and execution of marketing collateral for events

Support event planning and execution activities for Memberships and sponsored events

Lead member Recruitment, Engagement & Retention campaigns

Support the development of relevant, engaging value propositions for key audiences (government, advocacy groups, etc.)

Manage departmental budget and recommend spending activity based on strategic objectives.

Establish budget forecasts aligning with plan activity & reconcile forecasted spend vs. actual each month.

Define KPIs & measurement plan based on strategic objectives.

Analyze & report on campaign and event results.

Identify gaps and make recommendations for marketing programs to meet required business objectives.

Be a subject matter expert of the respective portfolio including in-depth knowledge of Standards Development, Government Relations, Public Policy and their respective market conditions and competitive landscapes

Collaborate with organizational counterparts to drive fully integrated campaigns (PR, Global Marketing Operations, Corporate Communications, Memberships, Government Relations, Public Policy).

Leverage the principles of project management to manage multiple projects and priorities at the same time.

Analyze ROI on all marketing activities and outline key areas of opportunity with a continuous improvement mindset.

Work with internal and external vendors to develop marketing collateral.

Provide excellent client service to our stakeholders internally and externally.

Champion the brand & use creative acumen to drive creative excellence.

Ensure campaigns are AODA compliant & support inclusion and diversity.

Education and Experience:

College/university degree in marketing or business administration or equivalent experience in a sales/marketing role.

7+ years of strategic marketing experience.

5 years of demonstrable success in similar roles.

A seasoned professional with experience in strategic marketing and tactic implementation.

Non-profit experience is an asset.

Event marketing and event management is an asset.

Experience with volunteer organizations is an asset.

Skills:

Strong attention to detail

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Passion for non-profit marketing and driving results.

Strong ability to develop, execute and analyze marketing campaigns.

Proven project management skills and experience.

Up-to-date knowledge of marketing trends.

Demonstrated ability to lead/implement and influence change & influence without authority.

Bilingual (English, French) an asset
