Position Overview The Marketing Manager plays a pivotal role in shaping Ganong\'s market presence and driving overall brand and revenue growth. As a vital member of the Ganong Senior Leadership team, the incumbent is entrusted with the comprehensive responsibility of planning, developing, implementing, measuring, and optimizing marketing strategies and tactics. Beyond the traditional marketing scope, this role also involves actively contributing to the establishment and nurturing of a positive team culture, fostering engagement, morale, continuous improvement, growth, performance, and team member well-being. Responsibilities: Marketing Strategy

  • Contribute to enterprise-wide Marketing strategies, working collaboratively with others within the Marketing team and cross-functionally.
  • Design, develop and execute annual commercial plans for the Ganong portfolio of brands
  • Successfully deploy marketing strategies and tactics that drive results from ideation to execution.
  • Develop and deliver retail-specific marketing strategies, including but not limited to POS, loyalty programming, digital marketing and channel-specific initiatives.
  • Develop go-to-market strategies in conjunction with the sales team to drive sales and overall brand and revenue growth across the business, in alignment with key priorities.
Innovation & Commercialization
  • Help lead the development and execution of commercialization initiatives, including but not limited to market research and consumer insights, project management, packaging design and delivery, sales support material development and the successful launch and deployment of new products and initiatives.
  • Track, measure and optimize new products and initiatives, as appropriate throughout the value chain, taking accountability for results.
  • Proactively identify and resolve opportunities for continuous improvement related to both efficiency and outcomes.
Data, Insights & Optimization
  • Contribute to the development of and actively track and report against an annual budget, including forecasting and actuals.
  • Measure and report and take accountability against overall performance across a number of KPIs, such as:
o Sales performance by channel, customer and SKU, including volume, overall revenue and profitability. o ROI on marketing activities (LTOs, OTOs, Campaigns). o Performance of SKU mix within customers and performance o Performance of new product launches, including but not limited to: timeline adherence from inception to launch, conversion of listings at target customers and
  • Conduct and lead market research to better influence consumer engagement strategies and drive commercialization decision-making
Leadership & Project Management
  • Manage the growth plan, work and engagement of direct report(s).
  • Lead a team of cross-functional professionals and team members to accomplish large-scale commercial projects.
  • Model the way as a leader, generally leading to a culture of high engagement, morale, continuous improvement, growth, performance and well-being.
  • Deliver, or cause to be delivered, projects on time, on budget and on strategy.
  • Proactively identify, help solve and escalate, when needed, issues that could hinder our ability to achieve our team\xe2\x80\x99s objectives.
  • As a leader, proactively help other functional areas within Marketing when needed.
  • Champion and adopt best practices with respect to systems and processes, including in the area of knowledge management and transfer.
Qualifications:
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Marketing or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience working in a fast-paced, geographically dispersed retail marketing environment
  • Minimum of 2 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience successfully leading people/teams
  • Ability to thrive in a complex environment while exhibiting flexibility and adaptability to change
  • Ability to both lead strategically and deliver with precision, excellence and measurable outcomes
  • Proven ability to build and foster effective cross-functional internal relationships.
  • Proven ability to build positive, mutually beneficial relationships with external stakeholders (clients, vendors, etc.).
  • Deep experience in the commercialization of new products
  • Ability to be both a leader and a follower, working both independently and as a member of a team
