Reporting to the VP, Marketing and Communications, responsibilities for this position include the following:
Commodity Level Marketing:
Facilitates the development and leads the execution of annual marketing plans for commodity-level marketing programs (liquor, food, home centres, gas bars, pharmacy, ag, bulk petroleum)
Advertising campaigns (traditional and online media)
+ Books billboards, print ads, posters, roadside signs, radio, streaming ads, video content, digital ads Digital & Social media strategic planning
Event planning and execution, including new store openings.
Execution of strategic marketing partnerships/sponsorships that typically fall outside of donation activations (examples include game day contests/giveaways, or similar types of activations), and collaborate with Communications Manager as required.
CRS Wide Marketing Initiatives:
Provides leadership and ensures or leads support to each retail division in the execution of FCL led marketing initiatives for each operations division, through the Marketing Specialist ensuring campaigns are actioned locally and duplication of resources does not occur. Provide input and support to FCL on campaign development and pilot projects where applicable.

Digital Media Management:
To manage Saskatoon Co-op's digital channels focused on growing on-line engagement and interaction. Responsible for managing advertising and developing online campaigns, with messaging that aligns to Saskatoon Co-op's guiding statements and brand.
Planning & Budgeting:
Develop and implement annual marketing plans and budgets for areas of responsibility in coordination with the VP, Marketing & Communications. Contribute to establishing annual business plans for such activities, and evaluate and measure progress and performance against goals and outcomes. Contributes to the development of annual Division scorecard goals and leads the execution work to achieve set goals as assigned.
Talent Development:
Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the Marketing team. Responsible for the talent management cycle, including recruitment, development and training, performance management, etc. Communicates the alignment of team members' work to the marketing team's priorities.
Internal Working Relationships:
Develop and foster strong working relationships with others across all departments and with FCL. Enable and foster an environment of open and transparent communication across all levels of the organization. Builds and maintains critical relationships with Division Managers, Operations Directors, Saskatoon Co-op location Team Leaders, as well as with CRS colleagues. Serve as a member of Saskatoon Co-op's Senior Management Team.
Qualifications:
Undergraduate Degree in Marketing.
Minimum 7+ years of Marketing experience. Required experience in digital media management including social platform and analytic platform and event execution. Strong communication skills to develop messages for a diverse group of audiences. Strength in visual communications, helping to draw in target audiences. Ability to balance and manage competitive priorities through project management skills. Strong interpersonal skills to support a collaborative work environment.
