Marketing Manager About the Role: K2 Group is a privately held, fully integrated company that strategically acquires, develops, constructs, and repositions hospitality, petroleum, and real estate assets throughout Canada and USA. The Marketing Manager will be responsible for the daily sales efforts and the overall positioning, brand communication and the development of customers for our Hotels, including rooms, meetings, and events. Candidates must have a dynamic leadership style, possessing excellent communication and decision-making skills. Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the overall positioning of the hotel, brand communication and business development.
  • Implement and supervise the execution of sales and marketing plan, social media plan, advertising, yield strategies, market performance and annual budget.
  • Develop rates, group sales deployment strategies through review of competitive data and demand analysis.
  • Reviews the STR report, TravelClick, competitive shopping reports and uses other resources to maintain an awareness of the hotels\xe2\x80\x99 market position.
  • Collect market and competitive intelligence to assess and implement strategy and long-term goals and strategic vision.
  • Working with the GM to develop and support strategies for the hotel, specifically the achievement of targeted room revenues and optimal sales mix.
  • Oversee day-to-day duties of prospecting accounts, account development, site inspections and proper account management practices.
  • Suggests innovative Sales and Marketing ideas and develops deployment strategies to continue to grow market share.
  • Implements the brand\xe2\x80\x99s service strategy and applicable brand initiatives in all aspects of the sales process and focuses on building long-term, value-based customer relationships that enable achievement of the two hotels\xe2\x80\x99 sales objectives.
  • Actively participate in other Sales/Catering duties after contracting; such as setting up group master accounts, group rates and local negotiated rates in PMS system, assisting with reservations, some detailing of groups, group resumes/BEOs and client billing.
  • Direct and manage all sales training, yearly sales targets, sales quotas, the incentive plan and all other corporate and hotel learning required to maintain the most effective sales professionals in the market.
  • Develop and manage the Annual Sales and Marketing plan, Rooms budget and departmental operation budget.
  • Develop and administer Marketing campaigns in line with all properties brand messaging through Social, Digital and Print Media.
  • Oversee all Marketing, Social and PR needs of two hotel properties, and ensuring they are aligned with the hotel social and commercial needs.
  • Identifies public relations opportunities and coordinates activities to augment the overall marketing communication strategy.
  • Representing and promoting the brand locally and internationally in various trade shows & business events.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in marketing, Public Relations or Hotel Management is preferred.
  • Minimum of three years of hotel sales management experience is preferred.
  • Excellent understanding of all market segments, including Leisure, Business, Transient, Group and OTA\xe2\x80\x99s.
  • Excellent communications skills- interpersonal, written and public/media relations.
  • Computer literacy (Opera, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to understand and interpret financial data.
  • Must be results oriented with the ability to be very flexible.
  • Positive attitude and supportive, team-based approach towards the attainment of the hotel\'s goals.
  • Ability to travel and work flexible hours and days.
