This contract role is focused on being the brand leader for Kensington Tours specializing in tailor made private-guided tours. Kensington Tours offers travelers personalized experiences in the most remarkable locations in the world. Handcrafted itineraries, that span across more than 90 countries; expertise, and local insights have positioned Kensington Tours as a top contender in luxury travel. This unique approach has earned the company awards and recognition by the most recognized travel publications including National Geographic and Travel and Leisure. The Marketing Manager, Kensington Tours will be help build a strong brand in the industry, driving a marketing plan that supports the ongoing growth, aligns with business objectives, drives customer awareness and transaction, and strengthens the brand culture. Collaborate cross functionally with Marketing, Product and Sales to achieve common goals. The Marketing Manager will be responsible for the preparation of marketing plans and support materials. The Marketing Manager will provide market research, strategy and creative assistance where applicable. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop annual and quarterly marketing plans for Kensington Tours
  • Work with management to develop and manage budgets for brand marketing activities
  • Work with marketing analytics, product development and inside sales to understanding marketing priorities
  • Oversee brand marketing initiatives across all customer touchpoints
  • Support the outside sales team with plans for marketing collateral, trade show support materials, presentations, webinars, etc.
  • Support social media team in developing branded content and paid strategies for posting to blogs, websites, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter and more
  • Support performance marketing & website team with development of key brand messaging and positioning
  • Any other duties as requested or assigned


Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related field
  • 5 to 7 years of related work experience in a marketing role
  • Understanding of CRM campaigns highly valuable
  • Aptitude for reviewing Analytic Reports, including such areas as response rates, web metrics, and providing strategic client recommendations
  • Previous travel industry experience preferred but not required
  • Excellent Computer skills, specifically MS Office application
  • Superb writing and editing skills
  • Strong creative sensibilities and an eye for aesthetics in presentation materials
  • Proven ability to prepare marketing plans with a blend of focused research, strategy and creativity
  • Excellent understanding and working knowledge of brand building and brand management
  • Possesses excellent research and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to demonstrate creative and innovative thinking
  • Highly effective project management, prioritization, multi-tasking, and time management skills to meet deadlines and manage a large volume of work
  • Is flexible and willing to help out where needed
  • Exhibits a positive attitude and outlook in all situations
  • Is hard-working and works to deadlines not hours - shows initiative and takes action
  • Brings professionalism and integrity to the workplace and all aspects of individual responsibilities
  • A well-defined sense of diplomacy, including solid negotiation, conflict resolution, and people management skills
  • Intimate understanding of traditional and emerging marketing channels
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Budget-management skills and proficiency
