Who We Are Trixstar LIVE was created in 2005 and is a 360\xc2\xba event management, consultation, marketing & operations firm that activates both city and rural markets across North America with festivals, concerts, celebrity experiences, brand activations and keynote speaker engagements. We create unique experiences and impactful events that generate excitement and create everlasting memories along with raising funds for local charities. Trixstar LIVE has produced some of the largest music festivals and shows in Canada such as the Big Valley Jamboree and Grey Cup Festival. As part of Trixstar LIVE\'s event portfolio they produce The Great Outdoors Comedy Festival which now operates across Canada and into the United States. The festival brings the largest comedians to these premier cities and Canada\'s most well-known parks such as Stanley Park and The Garrison Grounds. The Opportunity We are seeking an experienced and innovative Marketing Manager to lead our marketing efforts and maximize ticket sales across a wide range of responsibilities, including strategy development, creative direction, local media buys, sponsor fulfillment, artist marketing, and overseeing other aspects of the marketing department and contracted companies. The Marketing Manager will play a central role in developing and executing marketing strategies that drive brand awareness, engage our audience, and sell tickets to our events. This role requires a creative and strategic thinker with a strong track record in marketing and a deep understanding of all marketing channels. This position may be able to be hybrid/remote for the right candidate however our preference is someone who can work in the Edmonton or Calgary office. As a key member of our team, you will have the chance to: Marketing Strategy:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with company goals and budgets to maximize ticket sales.
  • Research, plan, budget and implement creative \xe2\x80\x98outside of the box\xe2\x80\x99 marketing opportunities to generate awareness, buzz and ticket sales for our events.
  • Analyze market trends, consumer insights, and competition to identify opportunities and threats.
  • Set clear marketing objectives and KPIs, track performance, and make data-driven adjustments as needed.
  • Keep various brand guides updated and ensure they are followed by all.
  • Track marketing spends with event budgets.
  • Customer journey mapping.
Local Media Buys:
  • Plan and execute local media advertising campaigns across North America, including radio, TV, print, influencers, and OOH.
  • Negotiate media buys and partnerships to maximize exposure and ROI.
  • Monitor campaign performance and optimize media spend for effectiveness.
Content Creation:
  • Oversee the Graphic Design team and/or Contractors to ensure the creation of visually appealing marketing materials (graphic, video, audio, etc.)
  • Ensure brand consistency in all design elements and collateral.
  • Review and approve creative assets before publication.
  • Mailing list and SMS content and strategy executed.
  • Develop and execute marketing plans to promote artists and their work.
  • Coordination of ad scripts and copy.
Artist Marketing:
  • Manage Artist assets and approvals.
  • Coordinate with Artists management to create compelling marketing content and/or PR.
  • Drive Artist branding and awareness through various channels.
  • Trixstar and event website content upkeep.
Social Media:
  • Oversee the company\'s social media presence and strategies, including content creation, community management, engagement, and analytics.
  • Portions of the Social Media management may be outsourced to a contracted third-party, including on-site Social Media Coordinators.
Miscellaneous:
  • Coordination of Photographers and Videographers for events as required:
  • Develop shot lists, schedules and guidelines.
  • Ensure required content is captured and schedules are followed.
  • Management of contracted Customer Service, Group Sales, and other individuals/companies under the Marketing realm.
  • Various event execution roles as required by this position.

  • Bachelor\'s degree or equivalent in Marketing, Business, or a related field is an asset, but not required.
  • Proven experience in Event and Artist Marketing Management, with a minimum of 5 years in a similar role.
  • Flexible schedule, with the ability to work some early mornings, evenings, or weekends to meet deadlines.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in marketing analytics and reporting tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and teams simultaneously.
  • Creative mindset with a keen eye for design and branding.
  • Strong understanding of current marketing trends and best practices.
  • Experience with Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Basecamp, WordPress, Sprout Social, Audience Republic, Meta, X, Snapchat, LinkedIn, Tik Tok, iMovie, Dreamweaver, Motion, etc.
