Marketing Director - Digital & Member Engagement

Location: Galt Country Club | Cambridge, Ontario

We are seeking a dynamic, digitally-savvy Marketing Director to elevate our brand presence, enhance member engagement, and drive strategic growth through targeted digital and social media campaigns.

Position Overview:

Reporting to the General Manager, the Marketing Director will lead all marketing, branding, and digital communications initiatives for the Club. This role is ideal for a self-starter with creative vision, strong design and web development skills, and a deep understanding of private club culture and member service.

Key Responsibilities:

Digital Marketing & Brand Management

Develop and execute the Club's annual marketing strategy with a focus on member retention, recruitment, and engagement.

Oversee all online brand content and ensure consistent voice and aesthetics aligned with club values.

Lead the design and implementation of marketing collateral, digital newsletters, event promotions, and member communications.

Website & Virtual Presence

Manage and optimize the club's website (WordPress or similar), ensuring content is engaging, up-to-date, and SEO-optimized.

Integrate interactive features such as online booking, event calendars, and member logins to enhance user experience.

Monitor analytics and report on performance with insights to improve site traffic and engagement.

Social Media & Content Creation

Plan, design, and schedule engaging content across platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.).

Grow social media following and engagement through curated campaigns, member highlights, event coverage, and seasonal content.

Create digital assets (graphics, video reels, animations) to bring the club's story to life.

Membership Marketing & Promotions

Design and execute campaigns to support membership sales, new member onboarding, and retention.

Collaborate with Membership Services to develop promotional offers and track campaign ROI.

Represent the brand at local events and partner with the community to drive visibility.

Photography & Videography Oversight

Regularly capture and curate professional-quality imagery of club events, amenities, and member experiences.

Maintain an image library for use across digital and print platforms.

Internal Collaboration

Work cross-functionally with F&B, Golf, Curling, Events, and Member Services to ensure consistent marketing support.

Provide creative support for internal communications, digital signage, and member newsletters.

Qualifications:

Degree or diploma in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or related field.

Experience in a marketing role, preferably in hospitality, luxury lifestyle, or private club settings.

Proficiency in website platforms (WordPress, Wix, or Squarespace) and design software (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite).

Strong knowledge of social media management tools (Meta Business Suite, Later, Hootsuite).

Excellent copywriting, visual storytelling, and project management skills.

Photography and basic video editing abilities are a strong asset.

Understanding of private club culture and high-touch member service is essential.
