Priority Accountabilities:



Brand Leadership:

Maintain brand consistency and integrity across all communication channels, following Amaranth's style guide.

Marketing Strategy & Budget:

Develop and manage marketing campaigns that align with company goals, while optimizing use of budget, advertising funds, and co-op dollars.

Customer Engagement:

Connect Amaranth to customers and communities through events, demos, digital platforms, and internal campaigns.

Content & Messaging:

Oversee the creation and distribution of blog posts, recipes, photos, video, social media, signage, and in-store communication materials.

Performance Tracking:

Monitor campaign results, track new customer signups, and measure engagement and transaction data to inform future initiatives.

LMA - Lead, Manage, Hold Accountable:



Lead the marketing team comprised of the marketing consultant, community ambassador, (digital) marketing coordinator, graphic designer and recipe developer(s) Manage the team through coaching and performance management Hold the team accountable for deadlines, time cards and overtime, marketing targets, company policies, etc.

Secondary Accountabilities:



Manage Amaranth's public-facing communications and support internal communication systems that enhance cross-department collaboration. Stay informed on socio-political, economic, and wellness industry trends that influence customer expectations and behaviours. Work closely with store teams and Category Managers to ensure marketing initiatives are practical, timely, and aligned with store capacity. Develop and manage a functional internal communication structure that supports the business development of Amaranth.

Tactical Responsibilities:



Manage marketing projects from concept through execution, acting as liaison between designers, print vendors, contractors, and store staff. Maintain the marketing manual and core processes to ensure consistency and clarity in operations. Manage signage logistics across stores, including transferring, installing, and updating visual content. Proofread and ensure all copy (digital and print) is accurate and reflects the Amaranth voice. Collaborate with Community Ambassador on local event logistics and staffing. Facilitate communication between Marketing and store leadership to align campaigns with operational goals and promotions. Assist in-store during promotional events such as CAD and TTS as needed (either via marketing support or customer engagement).

Safety and Security:



During marketing events, ensure any incidents (accidents, theft, injuries) are reported to the Operations Manager and documented appropriately. Act as the point person for customer-facing public relations.

Qualifications and Attributes:



Strong oral and written communication skills Excellent leadership and project management abilities Ability to work independently, take initiative, and adapt in a fast-paced environment Working knowledge of Facebook, Instagram, Google (business side), Squarespace, Mailchimp, SurveyMonkey, Canva Familiarity with GSuite (Docs, Sheets, Drive, Gmail) Degree in marketing, communications, or business is an asset Proven experience in a senior marketing role, preferably in wellness, retail, or food industry Understanding of natural health products, Amaranth's customer demographic, and the Traction Business Model is an asset Class 5 Driver's License required

Time Requirements:



Flexible

2-3 in-office/store days per week

Compensation:



$30.00-$40.00 per hour

Experience (Required):



Proven experience in a

senior marketing

role, preferably in wellness, retail, or food industry, with at

least 1 year

's experience in

marketing management.

Leadership / Team Management:

such as social media platforms, newsletters, and basic design/editing software Ability to lead projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams Strong written and verbal communication

Experience (Preferred):



Background in

retail, wellness, or the natural health industry

Familiarity with tools like

Squarespace, Mailchimp, Canva, SurveyMonkey, and GSuite

Understanding of

Traction / EOS

, strengths-based team models, or customer experience Comfort engaging with customers at community events or in-store promotions
