Position Overview:



The Customer Service Clerk plays a key role in creating a positive shopping experience at Amaranth. This position focuses on friendly service, accurate transactions, and maintaining a clean, welcoming environment that reflects our mission to provide an outstanding experience every day.

Priority Accountabilities:

Customer Service:

Provide friendly, attentive, and efficient customer interactions. Respond to inquiries promptly and ensure customers feel valued.

Lasting Impression:

Ensure every customer leaves with a positive impression through exceptional service, friendly interactions, and efficient checkout.

Promotional Knowledge & New Signups:

Be knowledgeable about current promotions and actively encourage customer signups for loyalty programs.

Minimize Line-ups:

Efficiently manage the checkout area, promptly address lineups, and communicate clearly with team members to support a smooth customer experience.

In-store Support Around Tills:

Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization around checkout areas, and support other departments as needed during busy periods.

Secondary Accountabilities:



These accountabilities support the effective completion of the Priority Accountabilities:

Actively communicate with team members and management to resolve customer issues promptly. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the till area. Assist with product stocking, facing, and merchandising when needed. Help maintain store cleanliness standards through regular cleaning duties. Participate proactively in training sessions and team meetings to stay informed and aligned with store objectives.

Tactical Responsibilities:



These are the processes that the team member is responsible for executing:

Efficiently and accurately operate POS systems. Properly handle returns, refunds, and customer concerns at the till. Verify and maintain pricing accuracy when stocking shelves. Receive and verify shipments as needed, and support the stocking and rotation of products. Communicate clearly with team members regarding customer needs, product inquiries, and store promotions.

Qualifications and Attributes:



Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Ability to follow instructions and store procedures accurately. Familiarity with natural and organic food products is an asset. Food Handling Safety certification is an asset.

Time Requirements:



Part-time hourly position. Flexible working availability, including days, evenings, weekends, and shift coverage as needed. Entitled to a 30-minute unpaid meal break for shifts longer than 5 consecutive hours.

Basic Physical Requirements:



Stand for extended periods of time. Walk, bend, twist, reach above and below shoulders. Use mops, brooms, cleaning supplies, carts, pallet jack, computers, and printers. Use ladders up to 12 feet in height. This role may include lifting items up to 50 lbs. Teamwork and tools, such as carts, are available to support these tasks. Exposure to extreme temperatures (coolers, freezers, outdoors).

Pay: $16.50-$18.50 per hour
