We are currently hiring for a Marketing Coordinator to join our team at the Sandman Hotel Group and Sutton Place Hotels. Reporting to the Marketing Manager, you will work within the marketing team to help coordinate, execute, and collaborate on hotel-level marketing and digital activities.
With over 65 hotels across Canada, the US, Scotland, England, Ireland-and lots more on the way-there has never been a more exciting time to join our team.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?
Work with the Marketing Manager and the wider marketing team to develop, implement and measure marketing campaigns to increase awareness, drive occupancy and build brand love for the Sandman Hotel Group and Sutton Place Hotels
Support in developing our annual marketing plan focused on driving business into low & shoulder seasons while enhancing the guest experience during peak seasons
Coordinate the creation and editing of marketing collateral, such as brochures, advertisements, website content, and social media posts
Assist with organizing photo/video shoots for earned, owned, and paid channels
Work with our onsite food & beverage partners (Moxies, Chop Steakhouse, Denny\'s and Shark Club) to develop cross-brand promotions
Attend key operational meetings to ensure alignment with all hotel stakeholders
Execute brand marketing tactics, partnerships, programming, and activations at a national / chainwide level
Assist in conducting market research and competitor analysis to identify trends, target audiences, and opportunities for optimization
Help manage marketing budgets, tracking expenses, and ensuring accurate financial records
Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in marketing to bring fresh ideas to the team
SKILL REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor\'s degree in marketing, business administration, or a related field
Proven experience (minimum 2 years) in a marketing or related role. Experience in the hospitality or restaurant industry would be great, but it\'snot required
Working knowledge of current marketing tools and strategies to execute a successful marketing campaign
Strong project management skills, ability to own the coordination and communication of key tasks and timelines for national or local campaigns from the brief through to creative production and execution
Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a team, in a fast-paced environment
Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other relevant software applications
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a good grasp of grammar, spelling, and punctuation
Eagle eyes when it comes to proof-reading marketing materials. Eagle eyes when it comes to proof-reading marketing materials (see what we did there?)
Proficiency in using marketing software and tools, such as email marketing platforms, content management systems, and social media management tools
Familiarity with digital marketing channels and basic understanding of SEO, SEM, and social media advertising
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, interacting with cross-functional teams and external partners
Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines
NICE-TO-HAVES
Familiarity with email marketing tools such as Campaign Monitor / Mailchimp
Knowledge and experience with prompt engineering and using AI tools like ChatGPT
Working knowledge of simple graphic design programs such as Canva, or basic knowledge of design programs such as InDesign / Photoshop / Illustrator
Strong creative skills in copywriting and/or photography is a bonus

This role is full time, located at Northland Properties head office in beautiful Vancouver, BC
Our office supports a hybrid work schedule with a mix of in-office days and work from home days
