Reporting to the Director of Marketing Public Relations, the role of the Marketing Coordinator will be to maximize productivity and efficiency of the marketing, public relations and sales departments by providing administrative and co-ordination assistance.

Graphic Design Project Management \xe2\x80\x93 50% of role

  • Manage the Graphic Design Request Form and project workflow of Graphic Design Requests from Fairmont Royal York and central region Fairmont Hotels & Resorts
  • Demonstrate an understanding of design timelines, communicating with hotel contacts of project timelines
  • Demonstrate an understanding of basic Graphic Design terminology to discuss projects with hotel leaders, modify requests, and communicate changes with the Graphic Designer and Director of Marketing
  • Make recommendations and collect assets for projects from hotel leaders. Support building preliminary mock-up designs to share with the Graphic Designer.
Marketing Team Coordination - 50% of role
  • Compile weekly PowerPoint presentations for the departmental marketing meeting
  • Maintain the annual marketing calendar
  • Produce monthly reporting for Social Media, Marketing, Public Relations
  • Support hotel ownership executive presentations
  • Support the marketing team in building hotel collateral: internal posters, digital ads, sales collateral
  • The ideal candidate will have experience in Front of House hotel or restaurant operations, such as previous experience as a Front Desk Agent or in hospitality
RESPONSIBILITES
  • Support project development and implementation of marketing and advertising campaigns to support brand awareness
  • Act as hotel liaison with graphic designer(s) for all internal and external print and digital asset requests while prioritizing production
  • Implement creative copywriting and strong brand voice whilst following brand identity guidelines
  • Act as hotel liaison for corporate System Properties Management updates (guest communications platform)
  • Assist the social media manager with implementation and analyzing/reporting of online marketing strategies through social accounts
  • Develop marketing communications such as flat sheets, contracts, marketing Calendar, Media Bio\xe2\x80\x99s, emails, ads, gift certificates, site forms, etc.
  • Assist execution of corporate brand campaigns at property-level through coordination of activations, signage and colleague training and more
  • Coordinate install of marketing, signage etc. with third-party vendors and publication submissions
  • Source, quote and order of marketing collateral such as packaging, gifting etc.
  • Assist with ad buys and scheduling of internal and external promotions with master plan as guide
  • Assist on photo and video shoots for featuring hotel amenities, offerings, food and beverage, destination events or Media FAMs through site forms, Event Block Building for BEOs & dining reservation requests
  • Assist content specialist with organizing of hotel photo/video assets and approval process
  • Attend and host partners/media at events as hotel representative
  • Leverage marketing opportunities to bring brand partnerships to life such as Make-A-Wish Foundation, through the coordination of reservations & amenity creation
  • Coordinate event signage and logistics
  • Assist marketing and PR specialist with responding to online guest reviews and monitoring voice of guest (VOG)
  • Assist team members with day-to-day marketing tasks, project coordination and activities as requested such as completing bi-weekly meeting minutes, bi-weekly slide deck
Qualifications
  • Degree or certification in marketing, advertising or communications field
  • 1+ years in corporate marketing role (agency and/or luxury brand experience is an asset)
  • Solid writing experience (ad copy examples will be requested)
  • Understanding of reporting marketing analytics
  • Understanding of hotel target markets to increase sales and vetting promotion opportunities
  • Food and beverage marketing experience is an asset
  • Familiarity with graphic design platforms and print production standards
  • Strong eye for detail to uphold luxury brand standards in all marketing applications (signage, photoshoots etc.)
  • Creative thinker, with strong ability to multi-task and coordinate on multiple deadlines
  • Excels in fast-pace working environment
  • Passion for guest experience, hospitality and tourism
