We are currently seeking a creative and energetic

Marketing Coordinator

to join our opening team and help bring the Squamish Canyon story to life.


About the Role



As Marketing Coordinator, you will play a key role in supporting and executing marketing campaigns that drive awareness, excitement, and engagement. You will work closely with the Marketing Manager to create compelling content, specifically for social media, coordinate media visits, manage digital assets, and ensure that Squamish Canyon's brand voice is vibrant and consistent across all platforms.


Key Responsibilities



Content Creation & Social Media


Create engaging content for Squamish Canyon's social media accounts to drive audience growth and brand loyalty. Capture and coordinate visual content during events and onsite activities for promotional use Monitor social media trends and recommend new content ideas and strategies.
Marketing Campaigns & Digital Presence


Work closely with the Marketing Manager and Guest Experience Manager to support and execute marketing initiatives and campaigns. Experience in e-mail marketing and newsletters, on platforms like Mailchimp or Beehiiv. Assist in updating business listings, websites, and online platforms with current information, seasonal promotions, and events. Proofread and review marketing materials for brand consistency and accuracy.
Media Relations & Influencer Engagement


Handle daily media relations tasks and assist with influencer and blogger selection. Support media and influencer visit coordination, including acting as a host and spokesperson for familiarization tours.
Research & Optimization


Conduct market research surveys and compile reports to support marketing strategies. Assist with SEO initiatives to optimize website content and drive organic traffic.
Graphic Design - Applicants with a background in graphic design are preferred


Ability to create print materials following brand guidelines Ability to take social media content to the next level with elevated designs and custom graphics

Qualifications



Diploma or degree in marketing, communications, sales, hospitality, or a related field. 1+ years of experience in marketing coordination, public relations, CRM, SEO, and social media management. Strong writing and editing skills with a keen eye for detail. Ability to create visually appealing content for social media, and print materials Proficiency in social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, TikTok). Familiarity with website platforms such as Squarespace, Canva, and Adobe Creative Suite; proficiency with Microsoft Office is required. Highly organized, able to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. A proactive, collaborative team player with a passion for storytelling and guest experiences. Must have a phone that is able to support social media platforms and able to capture high quality phone content. Having a camera is not necessary but an asset. Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.

Work Conditions



Must be available to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, in a range of weather conditions. Ability to stand for extended periods and occasionally lift and carry up to 20 lbs. May require the use of step ladders or step stools during certain tasks.
