The Saskatchewan Science Centre is looking for a Marketing Coordinator to contribute exciting ideas and help strengthen the marketing and communications reach of the Saskatchewan Science Centre across the province.

Your days will cover the marketing spectrum:

planning and coordinating marketing and communications strategies planning, shooting, editing, and producing photo and video content writing engaging copy to supplement photo and video content managing content on the Science Centre's website talking with the media to share Science Centre news and stories
The Marketing Coordinator reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer and will be part of a smart creative team including an additional Marketing Coordinator and a Graphic Designer. I hope it. This position can sometimes include weekend and evening work, especially during the summer months, as well as at special events such as Canada Day or Noon Year's Eve. There may be some, but limited, travel throughout the province to promote new exhibitions and special events.

Job Requirements

Passion, a positive attitude, and an open mind are very important. Good writing skills are equally necessary. Can you write long and short form advertising copy? Can your words get people excited about spending a day at the Science Centre?

The ideal candidate will have some experience working with basic HTML and web analytics and be comfortable interacting with people online and on many different social media channels. You will have experience - and maybe even expertise - in working with paid digital advertising such as with Meta or Google Ads.

Typically, these skills will be learned with some level of post-secondary education, such as a university degree or diploma program. Previous experience in marketing, communications, or public relations will be considered an asset to the applicant. Don't worry - we'll teach you the things that you don't already know.

Start Date: TBD

This is a full-time position and falls under the salary grid level 5. This is an in-scope position with the UFCW Local #1400.

Work schedule is typically Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm (37.5hrs/week), and would be adjusted for special events, evenings, and weekends as required.
