Tourism Jasper is the Destination Marketing Organization for Jasper and Jasper National Park. We're a young, energetic, forward-thinking team, who are charged with developing and executing creative solutions to help our Shareholders (select hotels, restaurants, and activities in Jasper) increase revenue through sustainable visitation of targeted consumers to our awesome little town.
WHY YOU'RE HERE:
Reporting to the Director of Marketing, the Marketing Coordinator is responsible for supporting the marketing, travel trade, corporate, and business development teams in implementing and maintaining several facets of Tourism Jasper's Marketing. This includes but is not limited to branding, marketing, and communication campaigns, outlets, and materials. They bring a foundational understanding of marketing practices and principles that can be applied to a variety of supporting tasks. The Marketing Coordinator will also actively engage in a variety of marketing activities, promotional functions, and events that foster community involvement.

THIS IS YOUR ROLE:
As the Marketing Coordinator you will be responsible for:
MEDIA VISIT COORDINATION AND GENERAL SUPPORT (50% of your time)
• Design itineraries and coordinate bookings using Travefy for media visits
• Monitor media coverage using the Agility platform and generate reports for comprehensive coverage insights
• Coordinate and participate in annual in-market media events (Edmonton and Calgary) and in-destination media events
• Create and deliver impactful media welcome packages
• Provide on-site hosting support during media visits
• Maintain a media budget with expenses from visits
• Maintain up-to-date media lists and coverage tracking documents
• Oversee and coordinate the media e-newsletter, including content creative, design, distribution and performance tracking
• Oversee and update the CRM media database
MARKETING CAMPAIGNS (40% of your time)
• Fulfill and monitor all consumer marketing campaigns, work within campaign budgets and allocations, and provide regular campaign reporting
• Oversee and coordinate email marketing campaigns including content creation, scheduling, and performance analysis.
+ Maintain up to date field notes regarding each method, noting key findings and opportunities.
ADMINISTRATION (10% of your time)
• Design and coordinate TJ's internal e-newsletter (Weekly Summit)
• Process all marketing and media invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely submission
• Track and administer Parks Canada passes
• Other duties as required
YOU'RE ARMED WITH:
• Post-secondary education in business, tourism, communications, marketing, or a related field.
• 2+ years in marketing or a related field.
• Experience in the tourism industry is considered an asset.
• Experience with marketing campaign oversight, SEO and SEM
• Experience with Medica Relations
• Service-oriented with the ability to assess needs, provide appropriate solutions and follow-through.
• Understanding and respect for political and multi-stakeholder environments.

• Possess outstanding project, organizational and time management skills to juggle multiple tasks within the constraints of timelines and budgets.
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communications skills.
• Have strong writing and reading skills with a keen eye for detail.

• Possess a broad understanding of the Jasper region.
• Exhibit a collaborative spirit with enthusiasm for working with interdisciplinary teams on a variety of projects in a fast-paced, casual environment.
