The Marketing Coordinator will report directly to the Marketing Manager.
This position will support the company and brand image through execution of the marketing strategy. This individual will work primarily out of the Ontario Food Terminal location but will require the ability to travel to our 302 Dwight Ave. location regularly.
Although the primary schedule for this individual is 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday, our ideal candidate can work a flexible schedule to accommodate the needs of the business which may include occasional evenings and weekends.
Responsibilities
Provide graphic design and branding support to ensure a cohesive look and feel for our brands across various platforms and media (website, social media, packaging, advertising, intranet, internal and external communications, etc.)
Assist in the development and execution of a social media strategy, including analyzing data and market needs
Develop, write, and create content for company website, social media platforms and company newsletter
Assist with sustainability strategy and execution internally and externally, as needed and directed
Coordinate and participate in company marketing and sales events including meetings, trade shows, product demos, sales presentations, and vendor tours
Coordinate and execute advertising campaigns
Order and maintain inventory of promotional merchandise
Collaborate with the Sales and Buying teams to prepare weekly market reports, monthly promotions and sales proposals for prospective customers
Assist with inventory and replenishment of all packaging supplies, including cartons, bags, film, and labels, in support of private label branding strategy
Develop and maintain category catalogue of private label product lists, including interacting with Buyers/Vendors to support marketing strategy
Create and maintain product spec sheets, in addition to understanding product times studies for each private label item
Create and maintain commodity catalogue and sell sheets to support Sales
Book travel as needed for Sales and Marketing teams
Work in conjunction with Repack team to assist with office workflow coverage as needed
Other duties as assigned
Candidate Requirements
Qualifications:
Post-secondary education in marketing, public relations, or related field considered an asset
Excellent computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Experience in graphic and web design
Demonstrated content writing skills
Thorough understanding of a wide range of computer programs and web platforms including Canva, Adobe Creative Suite and WordPress an asset
Ability to work a flexible schedule and travel occasionally for company events
Personal Attributes:
Well-developed verbal and written communication skills
Ability to collaborate with team members at all seniority levels
Detail-oriented and well organized
Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Bilingual fluency in French/English would be considered an asset but is not required
