Overview
Commercial Truck Equipment Co. is looking for an enthusiastic
Marketing Coordinator
to join its team. This is an in-person, on-site, full-time permanent position suited towards a highly organized junior marketing generalist with some experience and formal training under their belt. This position provides a significant opportunity for advancement, career growth, and learning and will provide comprehensive immersion for an aspiring marketing professional in a B2B setting.
Reporting to the Marketing Manager, the successful candidate will help support the development and growth of multiple Commercial brands and their marketing efforts across print, web, trade shows, events, conventions, internal and external communications, and both traditional and social media. The Marketing department centrally supports Commercial branches across Canada with branding, advertising, design, promotional items, apparel, and more, and the Marketing Coordinator will help provide support and solutions for all internal stakeholders in these areas. The Marketing Coordinator will also have the unique opportunity to work directly alongside Commercial's senior leadership team, interfacing with the President, GM, and CFO on a continuous basis.
The successful candidate will ideally have some full-time experience working in other marketing and/or communications capacities. A candidate comfortable in most of Creative Suite would be ideal, and exposure to WordPress, social media management, and event planning would help a candidate stand out. Applicants should have some experience and/or training in writing for advertising, social, communications, and/or the web.

Responsibilities
The responsibilities of the successful candidate will be broad and varied, but based broadly around supporting the production, logistics, administration, and financial aspects of the Marketing Department.
They may include, but not me limited to social media, writing and communications, event planning, logistics and support, web administration, organization and inventory, and promotional items and company apparel. Responsibilities will also be tailored to the current strengths of the successful candidate, while supporting their generalized development as a marketer.
Desired Qualifications and Experience
Previous experience in a full-time marketing role at the intern, co-op, assistant, or coordinator level is preferable. Self-employment or other marketing immersion would certainly be considered.
Higher education in Marketing, New Media, Communications, Design, Graphic Design, or a solid combination of junior-level experience and industry knowledge is required.
Desired Skills and Attributes
Above all, an uncommonly exceptional ability for attention to detail and organizational skill is required. The successful candidate will be someone who rarely lets anything fall through the cracks, prides themselves on their email and file management, and is highly organized with strong systems to prioritize tasks and see projects of all sizes through to their conclusion.
Thorough knowledge of Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and O365 including SharePoint and OneDrive is required.
General graphic and print knowledge. The successful candidate must have a basic understanding of image formats, color spaces, resolution, and common practices in the design world.
Introductory-or-better level ability in Illustrator and Photoshop would make a candidate stand out. Experience in web design, audio, and video editing is considered an asset.
Some writing and communications ability. Knowledge of CP style, experience writing blog posts, articles, web copy, media releases, advertising copy, social media posts would be an asset.
A practical and rational approach to the use of AI tools, including the ability to prompt effectively is useful.
Occasional travel throughout Canada may be required.
A class 5 drivers' licence may be important to support events and other job duties.
Basic mechanical, automotive, and/or heavy equipment knowledge is not required but is considered an asset. If you know the difference between an axle and a drive shaft, you're ahead of the game.
