Marketing Coordinator - Liquor Store

About Us
We own a few Liquor stores and bars that are destinations for fine wines, craft beers, and premium spirits. We're known for our curated selection, community involvement, and passion for great drinks. We're seeking a creative, motivated Marketing Coordinator with strong product knowledge, marketing experience, and the ability to build partnerships and negotiate effectively with vendors and suppliers.
Responsibilities
Plan and execute marketing campaigns for promotions, tastings, and seasonal events.
Design, print, and distribute flyers and posters for store events, product launches, and community outreach.
Manage social media channels (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, etc.) with engaging, consistent content.
Coordinate email newsletters, SMS campaigns, and loyalty program promotions.
Negotiate with suppliers and distributors to secure promotional deals, co-branded marketing support, and event sponsorships.
Collaborate with brand representatives to feature new products and organize tastings.
Track marketing performance and prepare reports for management.
Build relationships with local bars, restaurants, and businesses for cross-promotional opportunities.
Liquor Product & Mixology Knowledge
Apply bartender or beverage service experience to promote and describe spirits, wines, and beers confidently.
Deep understanding of spirit categories -- whiskey, vodka, gin, rum, tequila, liqueurs, and mixers.
Stay informed about cocktail trends, product innovations, and local market preferences.
Create compelling product write-ups and pairing suggestions for digital and print campaigns.
Participate in tastings and vendor trainings to maintain up-to-date product expertise.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field (or equivalent experience).
1-3 years of marketing experience, ideally in retail, hospitality, or beverage industries.
Prior bartending or bar management experience strongly preferred.
Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills when working with suppliers and brand reps.
Proficiency in digital marketing tools (Canva, Meta Business Suite, Mailchimp, etc.).
Excellent communication, organization, and time management abilities.
Comfortable performing fieldwork (posting flyers, attending events, visiting partner venues).
Confidentiality Agreement
The Marketing Coordinator must maintain strict confidentiality regarding store operations, supplier pricing, promotional strategies, and customer information. All proprietary or sensitive business details must remain confidential during and after employment.
