The Marketing Coordinator supports ViviGro Sustainable Solutions Ltd. in promoting its innovative line of agricultural and horticultural products across Western Canada. This role focuses on assisting the marketing and sales teams with digital campaigns, content creation, event coordination, and grower communication initiatives.
As an entry-level position, this opportunity provides hands-on experience in agriculture and horticulture marketing, brand awareness, and customer engagement while contributing to ViviGro's mission of advancing sustainable growing practices.
Responsibilities and Duties
Support the execution of marketing and communication strategies that align with ViviGro's brand and sustainability goals.
Create and schedule engaging content for social media platforms, newsletters, and website updates showcasing product performance, field trials, and success stories from growers.
Assist in designing marketing materials such as brochures, flyers, trade show displays, and product guides.
Coordinate logistics and promotional materials for trade shows, grower meetings, and industry events.
Support development of branding materials including packaging design
Collaborate with the sales team to develop localized marketing campaigns and ensure consistent brand messaging.
Track campaign results and engagement analytics, preparing simple reports to evaluate marketing effectiveness.
Maintain ViviGro's website and online product catalog, ensuring content accuracy and timely updates.
Conduct market and competitor research to identify emerging trends in agriculture and sustainable growing solutions.
Support photography, short video clips, and social media storytelling that highlight field results, product demonstrations, and customer testimonials.
Skills and Qualifications
Post-secondary education in Marketing, Communications, Agriculture, or a related field.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar design tools is an asset.
Familiarity with social media management (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook).
Self-motivated and eager to learn about agri-marketing and sustainable growing solutions.
Ability to balance multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and collaborate across departments.
Assets
Experience in agriculture, horticulture, or agri-business marketing.
Basic knowledge of SEO, Google Analytics, and content management systems (WordPress, Squarespace).
Experience with email marketing tools (Mailchimp, HubSpot, etc.).
Photography and/or videography experience, especially for field or product content.
Ability to travel occasionally for trade shows, grower visits, and promotional events.
Working Conditions
Combination of office-based work, and travel to trade shows or industry events.
Seasonal flexibility required (extended hours may be necessary during planting and harvest periods).
