Purpose of the role:



The Marketing & Content Specialist is a key member of the Marketing and Business Development team, responsible for executing day-to-day tasks and advancing strategic initiatives that enhance brand visibility, thought leadership, and business growth. This role owns and evolves the firm's content strategy, driving website and social media presence through impactful, engaging content.

With a focus on innovation, this role will help future-proof marketing efforts by integrating digital trends, AI tools, and forward-thinking content strategies. Responsibilities include content creation, digital platform management, sponsorship activation, event support, client gifting, and marketing reporting. This role requires a strong communicator who is highly organized, thrives in a fast-paced environment and collaborates effectively to help shape the future of legal marketing.

Duties and Responsibilities:



Lead the development and ongoing improvement of the firm's social media strategy, ensuring alignment with brand, practice, and business goals; Monitor trends in social media and AI-powered marketing, and recommend strategies that position the firm as a digital leader; Develop and manage a content calendar to maximize reach, relevance, and engagement across all platforms; Draft compelling, audience-appropriate content for social media, websites, internal communications, pitches, and presentations; Collaborate with subject-matter experts to source and create high-value content based on trends, legal developments, and firm priorities; Track and report on performance metrics related to social media and web content, providing data-driven insights and recommendations; Support the creation of marketing and event materials with brand-aligned design using tools such as Adobe InDesign or Canva; Coordinate promotional merchandise and client gifting programs, including inventory management of the firm's internal Boutique; Assist with the planning and execution of firm events, including administrative tasks and on-site support, which may require occasional evening and weekend work; Contribute to annual planning and budgeting by leveraging insights from digital trends and client engagement data; Maintain proficiency in key marketing and business development tools such as CRM systems, social media schedulers, CMS platforms, internal portal, and email platforms; Build strong relationships with internal teams, external vendors, and agencies to ensure seamless project execution; Exhibit professionalism and a solutions-focused mindset in all internal and client-facing interactions; Work collaboratively with team members to provide support and coverage as needed; and Perform other duties and responsibilities as required.

Education & Qualifications:



Post-secondary education in Marketing, Communications, Business, or similar; 4+ years' experience in a marketing or communications role, ideally within a professional service environment; Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills with a strong grasp of audience segmentation; Proven experience managing social media platforms - especially LinkedIn and Instagram - along with content strategy, and digital campaigns; Proficiency in design tools, such as Adobe InDesign and/or Canva; Familiarity with marketing technologies, including CRM systems, CMS platforms and social media schedulers; and Interest or experience with AI- driven marketing applications is an asset.
