What you'll do


Responsibilities


The Marketing & Content Coordinator will play a key role in promoting our tours and experiences through storytelling, engaging content and smart marketing strategies. Reporting to the Marketing Manager, you'll manage our social media presence, support campaigns, respond to reviews, create blog posts and video content, and help drive awareness and sales across all channels.


This role is perfect for a creative, goal-driven individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants to be part of a collaborative team in the tourism industry.


What You'll Do

Plan, create, and schedule content across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube, and email marketing. Assist with managing daily interactions with our online audiences, including responding to customer reviews with professionalism and care. Capture, edit, and share photos and videos that highlight our experiences. Support SEO efforts and help keep website content fresh, accurate, and engaging. Maintain and organize a content library for marketing use. Assist with digital and print promotional materials, from brochures to social campaigns. Track and analyze the performance of marketing initiatives, providing insights and recommendations. Support the sales team with promotions, special events, industry activations and other duties. Represent the company at industry events, familiarization tours, and ambassador programs.

What you'll need


Qualifications


Degree or diploma in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or related field (or equivalent experience). 1-3 years of experience in marketing, communications, or content creation (tourism or hospitality an asset). Hands-on experience managing corporate or organizational social media accounts. Strong writing and editing skills, with an ability to adapt tone and style. Proficiency with Microsoft 365, Adobe Creative Could Apps, and familiarity with CRMs tools. Knowledge of web analytics, SEO/SEM, content management systems, email marketing and AI tools would be considered assets. Basic photography/videography and editing skills are a must. A collaborative, adaptable team player who can also work independently.

Additional Details

Hours: 40 hours per week, including evenings and weekends during peak season. Location: 1751 Lower Water Street, Halifax, NS. Compensation: Competitive hourly rate or salary, commensurate with experience. Dress Code: Business casual and/or company-branded clothing.
