The Marketing Communications Coordinator is responsible for producing marketing deliverables across multiple platforms to increase charitable fundraising and expand awareness of the organization's mission among current and new audiences. This role will also coordinate projects and support the development, testing, and analysis of both traditional and digital marketing strategies.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing Strategy & Implementation
Develop and implement marketing plans for various channels, including social media, email, and events.
Content Creation
Produce engaging content--written copy, graphics, and videos--that promotes the charity's mission and programs.
Social Media Management
Manage organizational social media profiles, schedule content, engage with followers, and analyze performance metrics.
Email Marketing
Design and distribute email campaigns to engage donors, volunteers, and broader audiences.
Fundraising Support
Support fundraising initiatives by creating marketing materials, managing online platforms, and promoting fundraising events.
Donor Relations
Communicate with donors, acknowledge contributions, and strengthen relationships.
Analytics and Reporting:
Monitor marketing campaign performance, analyze data, and provide reports to guide future strategies.
Event Planning:
Assist in the planning and execution of fundraising and community outreach events.
Community Outreach:
Represent and promote the charity's work through events, partnerships, and media engagement.
Skills & Experience
Non-Profit Experience
- Familiarity with the non-profit sector, its challenges, and opportunities.
Communication Skills
- Strong written and verbal skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
Marketing Knowledge
- Understanding of principles, strategies, and best practices in marketing.
Digital Marketing Expertise
- Proficiency in social media management, email marketing, and content creation.
Analytical Skills
- Ability to interpret data, track campaign performance, and make data-driven decisions.
Project Management
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work independently.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary Range:
$60,000 - $65,000
Comprehensive benefits package (medical, dental, vision, and paramedical services; 60/40 employer-employee cost share to start)
