We're looking for a detail-oriented and creative Marketing & Communications Assistant to support with social media management, content updates, and project -related marketing tasks. This is a part-time role (5-10 hours per week) ideal for a student, recent graduate, or early-career professional looking to build experience in marketing and communications while supporting community-focused initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Social Media Support
Draft, schedule, and publish social media posts
Create content for Social Media Platforms ( graphics, reels,)
Monitor engagement and ensure posts align with brand tone and objectives.
Content Creation & Design
Create simple, branded graphics and visual assets in Canva.
Assist with building and formatting professional slide decks.
Website & Digital Support
Upload and update content on websites using Wix
Manage event platforms and develop event collateral ( Eventbrite, Wix Events)
Ensure consistency across platforms (website, social, newsletters).
Administrative & Marketing Support
Assist with organizing digital assets and maintaining content calendars.
Provide ad-hoc support for project promotion and communications.
Qualifications
Familiarity with Canva, basic design skills.
Comfort using ChatGPT or similar tools for drafting captions and copy.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Interest in marketing and communications
Previous experience in social media or digital marketing (an asset, not required).
Job Type: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 3 months
Pay: $18.00 per hour
