MineConnect is Ontario's mining supply and services association, representing innovative businesses that drive the sector forward. We connect members with domestic and international opportunities, lead advocacy efforts, deliver high-impact events and programs, and strengthen the mining ecosystem across Ontario and beyond.
We are seeking a creative, detail-oriented Marketing & Event Coordinator to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on logistics, storytelling, and meaningful sector engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing & Communications
Plan and deliver branded communication materials across email, social media (LinkedIn), and web
Create promotional content for events, programs, and member engagement
Track engagement metrics (e.g., open rates, click-throughs) and recommend improvements
Event Planning & Coordination
Support planning, logistics, and delivery of forums, trade missions, roadshows, and special events
Manage event registration systems (e.g., Eventbrite), signage, and participant communications
Liaise with venues, suppliers, and internal team members to ensure smooth execution
Assist in post-event surveys and summary reporting
Sponsorship Delivery
Ensure sponsor logos, benefits, and recognition commitments are executed across all platforms
Coordinate with internal team members to deliver accurate and timely sponsor visibility
Assist with signage, marketing collateral, and event-day sponsor logistics
Qualifications
2+ years of experience in marketing, communications, or event planning (preferably in a B2B, association, or industrial environment)
Strong written communication skills and experience creating professional content
Demonstrated ability to manage deadlines, budgets, and event logistics
Proficiency in tools like Mailchimp, Canva, Eventbrite, Microsoft 365, and CRM platforms
Collaborative, flexible, and solutions-focused team player
Knowledge of or interest in Ontario's mining, innovation, or industrial sectors is a strong asset
Bilingualism (English/French) is considered an asset
