Job Summary
As a Marketing and Digital Media Specialist, you will plan, create, and execute strategies that drive awareness, engagement, and customer acquisition across multiple platforms. This position will be supporting both the sales and scheduling teams while also participating in front line activities as needed.
This combo role blends hands-on digital marketing with creative storytelling, from managing our social media and website to organizing events and optimizing our digital presence.
You will be a key member of our marketing team, helping to grow our reach and ensure a consistent, engaging brand experience.
Duties and Responsibilities
Content Marketing & Website Management
Compile, contribute to and publish engaging blogs and web content focused on driver education and safety.
Accurately maintain and update the company website, including job board and course calendar.
Implement and monitor SEO strategies to increase online visibility.
Manage online practice tests, job postings, and ensure website accuracy.
Digital Advertising & Campaign Management
Support development and execution of digital ad campaigns across Google Ads, social media, and remarketing platforms.
Track, analyze, and report on campaign performance and engagement metrics.
Social Media Management
Create and schedule engaging posts across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and Google My Business, etc.
Respond to comments and messages promptly, building a strong and positive online community.
Monitor and manage online reviews and reputation.
Produce monthly analytics reports with insights and recommendations.
Brand Awareness & Customer Satisfaction
Represent Valley Driving School at community events, job fairs, and trade shows.
Support visual branding projects (vehicle decals, brochures, signage).
Manage customer newsletters (email/SMS) and internal communications.
Research competitor marketing activities and identify growth opportunities.
Administer and analyze customer satisfaction surveys.
Summarize trends and recommend actions to enhance customer experience
Skills & Qualifications
We are looking for a creative and data-driven marketer with a strong grasp of digital channels, content creation, and brand storytelling. The ideal candidate is tech savvy, organized, and comfortable managing multiple marketing projects; from social media campaigns and website updates to event coordination and customer engagement.
To succeed in this role, you should have:
Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in a similar marketing, digital media, or social media management role.
Excellent writing and editing skills, able to adapt tone for different audiences.
Proven experience managing social media platforms and creating engaging content for a business.
Strong understanding of Proficiency in website content management systems (e.g., WordPress)
Proven ability to create engaging and effective content for various digital platforms (Graphic Design skills an asset)
Strong understanding of digital marketing principles, SEO best practices and social media best practices/trends
Experience with social media management tools and analytics platforms
Proficiency in managing Google My Business, Google AdWords, and online advertising campaigns
Ability to work independently, as part of a team and manage multiple tasks effectively
Event planning and coordination skills
Strong organizational and time management skills
Strong analytical skills and comfort with metrics and reporting.
Excellent communication, organization, and multitasking abilities.
A proactive, creative mindset with a strong and above average attention to detail.
Completion of a degree, diploma or certificate in marketing or a related field will be an asset.
