A. POSITION SUMMARY

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer the Marketing and Digital Communications Coordinator is responsible for developing content and executing CVIY\xe2\x80\x99s communications strategy including digital marketing, social media, web site support, google analytics, \xe2\x80\x9ctraditional media\xe2\x80\x9d (i.e.: print/other), photography, videography and branding initiatives. In addition, a firm understanding of the national federation\xe2\x80\x99s business and brand strategy is critical to success in the role.

The Marketing and Communications Coordinator positively reinforces the professional image and reputation of CVIY through their contributions in developing customer-focused digital communications material and delivering relevant content for key internal and external PR and communications activities for digital and conventional channels and platforms, as well as to achieve goals for brand recognition.

B. JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Execute communications and marketing initiatives to build brand recognition and awareness and to drive increased revenue through current and prospective customers
  • Produce effective messaging with key stakeholders for public relations and branding
  • Grow social media presence through content development creation, measure web analytics and credibility and maintain company profiles on various social media platforms
  • Liaise with Commissionaires national office (CNO) to ensure CVIY market interests are represented, and appropriate resources are developed
  • Monitor security and community news and partake in relevant social discussions about our company, competitors, and industry
  • Directly support CVIY departments with significant support for recruiting team members via marketing and communications
  • Prepare proactive media stories and draft media materials
  • Organizing media events and maintaining relationships with external agencies that may be involved
  • Elevate CVIY\xe2\x80\x99s interests for website content \xe2\x80\x93 collaborate with national office
  • Develop a social media calendar and manage dynamic content across key channels (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, Google, and YouTube)
  • Initiate the design and production of printed materials, signage (e.g. Live video monitoring) presentations, and other communication tools
  • Coordinate and distribute a company newsletter, media releases, and other publications
  • Remain current on local, national, and international news related to security services, best practices and emerging technology that will \xe2\x80\x9cadd value\xe2\x80\x9d to the security services of CVIY clients
  • Know the competition and strive to position Commissionaires as the preferred security solutions company
  • Identify potential areas where the image or reputation of Commissionaires could be damaged and develop mitigation measures and solutions to remedy those areas
  • Develop professional and credible marketing and sales materials for general use in attracting potential clients
  • Conduct regular SEO audits and implement relevant industry keywords to optimize website content, alongside running targeted Google Ads campaigns tailored to the various lines of business within the company, ensuring maximum online visibility and lead generation
C. ESSENTIAL AND RATED QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE POSITION
  • A University Degree in communications, marketing, content marketing, social media or public relations
  • HubSpot Marketing Certification (Preferred)
  • Graphic design and proficiency with Adobe creative
  • Successful track record as a Marketing communications specialist with minimum 3 years related experience
  • Able to establish and maintain effective working relationships
  • Passion for the customer experience
  • Enthusiastic, self-motivated and a visionary thinker
  • A team player and self-starter with a positive attitude
  • Ability to multi-task and deliver to deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and a wide range of media formats and design software technologies, including Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Bridge, Premiere Pro, Photoshop)
  • Proficient in web design and building landing pages, utilizing platforms such as WordPress, Wix, or Squarespace, to enhance digital marketing efforts and optimize user engagement.
  • Advanced knowledge of visual design, digital updates, digital asset management, content management and cloud storage.
  • Excellent analytical skills and advanced understanding of SEO, Google Analytics, Facebook analytics, etc.
