We are seeking a Marketing and Communications Student for our Calgary District, within our Canadian Buildings Division, that is available for 4 or 8 months starting in May 2024.

As a Marketing and Communications Student and depending on your assigned tasks, you will have the opportunity to contribute to our team by:

Responsibilities

  • Assisting with the production and distribution of various written and visual materials for internal and external audiences, including photography, graphic design and page layout
  • Reviewing and editing various internal documents and marketing-related material
  • Writing copy for marketing materials, project profiles, resumes, award submissions, intranet postings, etc.
  • Reviewing and updating the marketing database to ensure information is current and accurate
  • Providing proposal support - sourcing and updating content from internal and external resources, assisting with design and document development
  • Providing support to the Marketing and Communications team, as required
  • Special assignments, as required
Qualifications
  • Strong writer and skilled editor
  • Graphic design skills
  • High attention to detail and the ability to multi-task
  • Highly organized self-starter
  • Excellent computer, word processing, desktop publishing and researching skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to develop and sustain positive working relationships with internal and external interested parties
  • Understanding of social media and how to integrate it into the business process
  • Efficient, enthusiastic and flexible
  • Photography and video production skills considered an asset
  • Experience with Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator or Premiere Pro considered an asset
