Job Description


We are looking for a Marketing and Communications Intern for a full-time 12 month position. We are seeking an innovative, and highly motivated individual to coordinate marketing and communications (both internal and external) for THRIVE Child Development Centre and THRIVE\xe2\x80\x99s Foundation while ensuring AODA compliance. This position will:

  • Plan, organize, and execute various marketing and communications initiatives to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support with monitor, upload content, and trouble shoot the Website and social media pages.
  • Prepare content as required including social media posts, videos, newsletters.
  • Develop and maintain promotional material (videos, pamphlets, newsletters, flyers) in both English and French.
  • Develop and maintain internal and client documents and videos (internal newsletter, handouts, pathways) in both English and French.

What we need from you:
  • Minimum post-secondary diploma or degree , preferred in field of communications, public relations, marketing, or event management from an accredited college or university.
  • Non-profit organization (NPO) experience is an asset
  • Strong communication skills including verbal, written, presentation and listening skills
  • Strong customer service skills including the ability to communicate professionally and courteously across all levels and positions.
  • Experience managing a website using a content management system
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently, balanced with a passion for supporting and working within a team and are committed to a collaborative, attuned, strengths-based approach to problem solving and capacity building
  • Ability to work well under supervision
  • Ability to organize, and prioritize in a fast-paced service-oriented environment
  • High level attention to detail and superior problem-solving skills
  • Graphic design skills considered an asset.
  • Ability to communicate in both official languages is an asset
  • Satisfactory criminal background check and vulnerable sector screen (CPIC)
  • Proof of full COVID-19 vaccination is required

THRIVE Child Development Centre/Centre de d\xc3\xa9veloppement de l\xe2\x80\x99enfant is an incorporated, non-profit Children\xe2\x80\x99s Treatment Centre made up of occupational therapists, physiotherapists, speech-language pathologists, social workers, therapy assistants, early childhood educators, ABA Therapists and support staff. We provide inter-disciplinary pediatric rehabilitation, respite care, an on-site childcare program and resource support to community childcare centres in Sault Ste.
