Position: Marketing and Business Development Specialist
Location: Etobicoke, on-site
Salary: $70K to $75K
Job Type: Permanent, full-time

We are looking to hire a Marketing and Business Development Specialist for a manufacturing client in the building materials industry located in Etobicoke. The Marketing and Business Development Specialist is responsible for generating revenue by meeting with key architects and interior designers that are prominent in the industry in order to have the company\'s product specified on plans, to improve the success of the sales process.

:

- Arrange meetings with key architects and interior designers
- Act as product expert, provide product information and educating designers and architects in order to provide potential alternatives and solutions to key design influencers
- Provide feedback to management on new trends in the design space, to help create new profiles as required
- Play a critical role in helping assist with design for trade shows and internal projects
- Act as liaison between the design community and the Director of Sales to help close gaps in the industry
- Act as a brand ambassador and is present in events in the designer space in order to ensure that company is top of mind to the design community
- Support and promote the company\'s brand
- Manage the company\'s social media space to ensure the brand is represented
- Define most important social media KPIs
- Collaborate with Marketing, Sales and Product Development teams
- Manage and oversee social media content and measure the success of each campaign
- Manage SEO, Google ads and user engagement and suggest content optimization
- Communicate with industry professionals and influencers via social media to create a strong network
- Organize and manage photography and video shoots for Marketing content

- Post-secondary education in a relevant field
- 3+ years of experience in marketing, product support, business development
- Experience with in the building materials or construction industry is highly desired
- Previous experience with working with architects and designers preferred
- Experienced with building materials tradeshows, industry events
- Ability to travel to appointments with potential clients (architects, designers, etc.) to complete Lunch and Learns and/or Product presentations/demonstrations/launches
- Exposure/knowledge of interior design is an asset
- Working knowledge of social media platforms
- Excellent knowledge of Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube
- Understanding of Google Ads, SEO and web traffic metrics
- Experience with doing audience and buyer persona research
- Good understanding of social media KPIs
- Excellent multitasking skills, with a willingness to work independently
- Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
- Good time-management skills
