Position Name: Marketing Account Director
Location: Toronto As a Marketing Account Director, you have a great aptitude for building and maintaining client relationships. You have the superior planning and leadership skills needed to coordinate and manage a team. You\xe2\x80\x99re a strategic leader, responding positively to the changing needs of the organization. You will work with clients to address business issues and proactively identify new opportunities. You are responsible for delivering the marketing and financial objectives of the client account, adeptly balancing client and internal expectations, resources, and constraints to consistently ensure the team achieves superior results on strategy, on budget, and on time. We\xe2\x80\x99ve set our sights on rapid growth and are looking for an experienced Marketing Account Director to join our expanding team in our Toronto office at Suite #305, 245 Yorkland Blvd. That\xe2\x80\x99s where you come in! What you will do:

  • Build strong relationships; not only effectively managing, training, supporting, and developing your team, but also becoming a trusted advisor to your clients by understanding their business, category, and competitive landscape.
  • Represent and interpret clients\xe2\x80\x99 overall needs & objectives within agency.
  • Working closely with Strategy, you are responsible for leading the planning, development, and evaluation of client marketing activities.
  • Play a strategic, pro-active leadership role within account portfolio, ensuring account profitability through ongoing financials review, organic growth, and budget control.
  • Proactively present ideas with reinforced strategy/strategic solutions and rationale to clients and lead client presentations.
  • Seek & fosters connections beyond core client group with other key client stakeholders.
  • Evaluate and mentor account team.
  • Participate in Agency/Client Performance Plan reviews.
What you bring:
  • 7+ years shopper marketing experience and knowledge of the Canadian retail landscape.
  • Post-secondary education in Business, Marketing, Advertising, or Communications.
  • Experience developing omni-channel plans that include implementing e-commerce strategy with CPG client is an asset (retailer platforms, amazon.ca, digital programmatic).
  • Superior problem-solving skills and creativity
  • Strong financial management and literacy to create revenue growth by identifying opportunities with existing clients and maximize client account profitability.
  • Ability to manage partner negotiations and agreements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Well-developed presentation skills.
  • Developed leadership and people management skills.
  • Bilingual preferred (fluent in conversational and business French).
Please note, this role is a hybrid of remote working from home two days per week (Monday, Friday), with three days working in our Toronto office (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday).
