Summary

Are you someone who has great attention to detail and loves working within a dynamic and diverse team environment? STEMCELL Technologies, Canada\xe2\x80\x99s largest biotechnology company, is looking for a Manufacturing Technologist to support production of our life science research products. In this role, you will work collaboratively with other team members, performing hands-on work manufacturing products in an aseptic clean room environment. As a member of the Manufacturing, Clean Room team, your work is essential to making our high quality research products that drive science forward! This is an excellent position to progress your career in the scientific field by refining your laboratory skills and learning industry documentation practices, while supporting a culture of continuous improvement.

Please note that this is a 12 month fixed term position, with the opportunity to convert into a permanent role.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Identify, set up, and operate production equipment required in the manufacturing of products
  • Conduct daily monitoring, calibration, and routine maintenance of equipment used
  • Perform weighing of raw materials, compounding, formulating, and aseptic processing
  • Follow written procedures to manufacture regulated and non-regulated life science research products
  • Adhere to our Quality Management System by maintaining accurate production records and electronic transactions
Knowledge and Qualifications
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s or technical degree, preferably in a life science related field
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with a desire to build collaborative relationships with colleagues
  • An adaptable work schedule based on the production needs, with the ability to work some weekends and evening shifts
  • Ability to lift 25-30 lbs and work on your feet most day
  • Experience with SAP and working with ISO regulated systems is an asset
