Job Description

We are seeking and experienced Team Leader or Shift Lead, with manufacturing experience. This is a contract role, leading to permanent, full time, with benefits. In this role, you will focus on motivating respective team members and report daily and weekly results. The ideal candidate will highly motivated, energetic and able to work as part of a team.

This position offers:

• $22.07/hr
• 7:30am - 4:00pm (Mon - Fri)
• 40 hours weekly
• 3-month contract, leading to permanent, with benefits
• Weekly pay and 4% vacation pay

What youll be doing:

• Maintaining compliance with regulations and standards.
• Act as a leader within the Finishing & Packaging department
• Supervision of approximately 6 - 15 people
• Developing strong interpersonal relationships with employees in department and cross-functionally
• Product manicuring and preparation for sale
• Weighing, handling, packaging of product
• Order processing
• Use of ERP software for inventory control and order processing.
• Cleaning and equipment cleaning (utensils, containers)
• Completing and preparing appropriate documentations as required

Your Environment:

• Standing & walking for long periods of time
• Frequent bending, kneeling and reaching
• Working in an indoor temperature-controlled environment. Some rooms may be cooler than others due to the nature of the production
• Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs
• Ability to perform a series of repetitive operations requiring manual dexterity and visual acuity
• Flexible to work overtime if needed

• Demonstrated experience in leading or supervising a team is required
• Proven experience achieving production quotas and targets
• Completion of High School Diploma or equivalent
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
• Ability to establish priorities, work independently and as a team member
• Understanding of computers, Microsoft Office and Email considered an asset
