About the Role
We are seeking an experienced
Manufacturing Manager
to lead CNC machining operations at a modern, advanced manufacturing facility. This role is focused on driving performance, developing high-functioning teams, and ensuring the delivery of complex, mission-critical machined components for the
aerospace and nuclear industries

Key Responsibilities
Lead all aspects of
CNC machining operations
, from production scheduling to on-time delivery.
Monitor compliance with internal policies and external standards to maintain a safe and efficient workplace.
Oversee staffing, shift schedules, and workforce planning, ensuring the right skills are deployed where needed.
Use data and KPIs to evaluate departmental performance, implementing corrective actions when required.
Collaborate with
Quality, Engineering, and Production Control
teams to align priorities and resolve bottlenecks.
Champion training, employee development, and skills matrix management, including onboarding of new team members.
Drive
continuous improvement initiatives
and lean manufacturing practices with measurable outcomes.
Act as a cross-functional liaison to expedite work orders and maintain operational flow.
Manage administrative tasks such as timekeeping, payroll approvals, and vacation planning.
Build a culture of accountability, engagement, and coaching, with a focus on team success.
Qualifications
5+ years of leadership experience
in manufacturing, preferably in a CNC machining environment.
Strong background in mechanical engineering with hands-on machining knowledge.
Proven ability to optimize production schedules and manage shop-floor operations effectively.
Experience leading teams, implementing training programs, and driving employee development.
Knowledge of
AS9100, ISO9001, or NADCAP
quality standards (asset).
Strong decision-making, conflict resolution, and communication skills.
Familiarity with precision machining processes, machine tools, and measurement techniques.
Data-driven mindset with the ability to identify improvements and implement lasting change.
