. You will oversee CNC machining operations, drive continuous improvement, and ensure the delivery of mission-critical components in compliance with
AS9100, ISO9001, and NADCAP
standards.
Key Responsibilities
Lead all aspects of CNC machining operations, ensuring on-time delivery of high-precision aerospace and nuclear components.
Oversee staffing, shift scheduling, and workforce planning, deploying skilled machinists to meet operational requirements.
Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory standards, and quality systems (
AS9100, ISO9001, NADCAP
) across all activities.
Use KPIs and data-driven insights to monitor departmental performance and implement corrective actions.
Champion employee development, training programs, onboarding, and skills matrix management to maintain a highly skilled workforce.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives, including lean manufacturing practices, with measurable outcomes.
Act as a cross-functional liaison to expedite work orders and maintain operational flow.
Manage administrative responsibilities, including timekeeping, payroll approvals, and vacation tracking.
Build a culture of accountability, engagement, and coaching with a focus on high-performance teams.
Qualifications
5+ years of leadership experience in manufacturing, preferably
CNC machining in aerospace or nuclear industries
.
Strong mechanical engineering background with hands-on machining knowledge.
Proven experience managing shop-floor operations and production schedules in a regulated, high-precision environment.
Demonstrated knowledge of
AS9100, ISO9001, NADCAP
, and other relevant aerospace/nuclear quality standards.
Experience leading teams, implementing training programs, and fostering employee development.
Strong decision-making, conflict resolution, and communication skills.
Knowledge of precision machining processes, machine tools, and measurement techniques.
Data-driven mindset with the ability to identify process improvements and implement lasting change.
