Purpose/ Summary
Develops, evaluates, and improves industrial manufacturing methods, utilizing knowledge of product design, materials and parts, fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment capabilities, assembly methods, and quality control standards. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Under general supervision:
Develops, evaluates, and improves industrial manufacturing methods- Analyzes and plans work force utilization, space requirements, workflow, equipment layout, and workspace for maximum efficiency
- Analyze design proposals, specifications, manuals and other data to evaluate feasibility, cost and maintenance requirements of designs or applications
- Investigate, research and analyze equipment failures, malfunctions and processes to diagnose, or make recommendations for changes to align with cost and efficiency standards
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics and computer-generated reports
- Specifies system components of products to ensure conformance with engineering design and performance specifications
- Collaborate with production personnel, other engineers, management, and outside vendors to improve the yield and quality of existing products
- Work with production to understand problems and areas of inefficiency
- Leads clear projects, participates in complex projects
- Provide technical support of manufacturing equipment and tools
- Support bid and proposal activities for customer requests for quotes, including run time and processing time estimates
- Shares knowledge willingly with others

Supervisory Responsibilities
This job does not have supervisory responsibilities. Working conditions May be exposed to moving mechanical parts, electrical equipment, acetone, alcohol, argon, braze alloys, nitrogen, hydrogen, oi based or water soluble lubricants, and cleaning solutions Minimum qualifications
- College diploma or equivalent
- 3 years experience in manufacturing or related industry
- 3 years CNC programming experience of turning and 5 axis milling on MasterCAM or NX or SmartCAM or CATIA
- Working knowledge of CAD/CAM system
- Working knowledge of Aerospace material like Nickel Alloys, Titanium Alloys, and Stainless Steel
- Working knowledge of shop mathematics
- Working knowledge of CNC milling, turning, grinding, EDM, and/or heat treatment, brazing, welding
- Working knowledge of inspection methods
- Working knowledge of special processes including, but not limited to plasma coatings, laser drilling, and airflow measurement
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively to employees of all levels in the organization
- Able to speak and write standard English
- Legally able to work in applicable country
- Bachelor\'s degree in engineering or related technical field
- 5 years experience in Aerospace manufacturing or related industry
- 5 years CNC programming experience of turning and 5 axis milling on MasterCAM or NX or SmartCAM or CATIA
- Basic knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma processes
