We specialize in the innovative design and manufacture of cast and fabricated iron and steel products for the mining and resources sector, and we also expertly serve rail and transit, energy, structural and industrial casting and defence markets.

We are currently hiring a Manufacturing Assistant in Edmonton, Alberta!

The Manufacturing Assistant reports directly to the Production Supervisor and is responsible for maintaining key projects such as 5S, safety reports and actions, maintenance requests and data reports through the ERP system.

Responsibilities:

  • Generate safety related reports to Supervisor and Manager when needed and follow up on open actions.
  • Create, monitor and report maintenance requests approved by the production supervisor.
  • Organize and schedule job training for employees with consultation from the production supervisor.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing team to implement, maintain and audit 5S in manufacturing processes.
  • Participate in root cause investigations and provide reports to the production supervisor and manager.
  • Assist the production supervisor and manager with writing and maintaining quality document procedures.
  • Report on production KPI\xe2\x80\x99s as required.
  • Enter timecards into the ERP system as a backup during vacation, sick days or as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

  • Minimum Grade 12 diploma or equivalency. Post-secondary preferred
  • Minimum 2 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in Oil and Gas preferred.
  • Office Administration certificate and/or combination of experience
  • 5S experience preferred.

  • Forklift ticket or willingness to acquire required.
  • Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office programs with emphasis on Excel and Word.

Work Environment:
50% office setting and 50% working in the Pipe Fabrication shop.
