We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Manual Osteopath to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of osteopathic principles and practices, focusing on holistic patient care. This role involves assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients with various musculoskeletal conditions through manual therapy techniques. The Manual Osteopath will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient management.
Duties
Conduct thorough assessments of patients to determine their osteopathic needs.
Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient evaluations and medical history.
Utilize manual therapy techniques to alleviate pain, improve mobility, and enhance overall health.
Collaborate with other healthcare providers to coordinate patient care and ensure optimal outcomes.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using electronic health record systems such as Epic or Cerner.
Provide education to patients regarding their conditions and promote self-management strategies.
Engage in ongoing research to stay current with advancements in osteopathy and related fields.
Participate in home care initiatives as needed, ensuring continuity of care for patients transitioning from hospital or acute care settings.
Requirements
Valid certification or licensure as a Manual Osteopath in accordance with state regulations.
Strong knowledge of pain management techniques and medication administration related to osteopathic practice.
Experience in a medical office or hospital setting is preferred, particularly in acute care environments.
Proficiency in using electronic health record systems, specifically Epic or Cerner, is advantageous.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide compassionate patient care.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for maintaining accurate patient documentation.
