As a manager Wholesale Funding & Treasury Admin, the role oversees a turnkey liquidity channel for agent & wholesale deposits to supplement enterprise funding needs. The scope involves managing wholesale funding growth and retention through a network of deposit brokers & wholesale deposit relationships with municipal/school board/corporate institutions. The role is also accountable for Treasury administration on the securitized mortgage portfolio covering monthly cash flow remittances and reporting to Investors. Other Treasury administration pertain to regulatory compliance, management of individual transaction limits & letters of authority and related.

About the workplace

This role will enjoy hybrid working arrangements which can be fulfilled primarily from the Vancity head office location and your Lower Mainland based home office. Periodically, you\xe2\x80\x99ll be required to attend in-person activities or events.

A typical day would involve:

  • Implementing the origination, pricing and processing of agent and wholesale deposit operations aligned with a service-driven relationship approach to providing timely funding and enabling enhanced member and broker experience.
  • Monitoring and maintaining the agent/wholesale deposit funding operations in alignment with Vancity\'s risk framework and regulatory requirements while enabling the achievement of funding objectives.
  • Implementing the business development and growth plan of agent and wholesale deposits in a competitive, cost-effective manner consistent with the Vancity\'s pricing framework.
  • Developing and maintaining relevant documented processes of Treasury operations and maintaining effective administration and controls of treasury transactions such as account documentation of correspondent banking relationships, contractual funding agreements, proper and timely sign off of treasury funding issuances, and other transaction types as delegated.
  • Providing pricing guidance based on competitive scope, authorities, and relationships provided by designated business (wholesale) and VCIB deposits.
  • Implementing specific projects/initiatives that can streamline securitization operations/administration such as improvements on mortgage data quality and reporting, or others as delegated.
You have:
  • University degree and 10 years of related experience in finance, sales, or a combination thereof.
  • Strong financial background, and expert knowledge of Excel is required. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics and Power BI is considered an asset.
  • Strong interpersonal skills when interacting on wholesale funding with external parties and pricing with internal stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and can collaborate with individuals across divisions.
  • Keen ability to distill and summarize large and complex data sets in a simple and concise way and present it clearly without losing sight of the big picture.

Salary range: The salary range for the role is $102,200 to $153,200 and a candidate\xe2\x80\x99s offer is likely to be up to the mid-point of the role ($127,700). The upper half of the salary range is typically reserved for individuals who have demonstrated consistent strong performance in the role and possess a high level of job knowledge and skill.
