Position Title: Manager, Global Learning and Engagement

Status: Full-time Administration

Hours: 37.5 hours

Faculty/Department: International

Campus/Location: Lakeshore campus

Salary Range: FT Admin 05: Min ($81,106) Max ($121,659)

What you will do:

Reporting to the Associate Dean, Global Education and Partnerships, the Manager, Global Learning and Engagement is accountable for working closely with Humber\xe2\x80\x99s academic units and global partners to enhance international study, work, and research opportunities for students, faculty and staff. Responsibilities include expanding participation in all international mobility and internationalization efforts, designing and leading global skill development and risk mitigation training; leading the development, execution and assessment of Humber\'s annual Global Summer School; and leading the positioning of Humber as a "COIL-Global Virtual Exchange" learning hub with global academic and industry partners.

Qualifications

What you bring to the role:

Education

  • Masters degree preferably in Adult Education, Curriculum Development, Student Affairs, Counselling, Marketing, Project Management, or related field.
Experience & Skills

Five (5) years management experience in an educational/student service setting having responsibility for supervising staff, developing and administering programs, training, and ensuring compliance with policy and procedures with regard to student initiatives, due diligence, health and safety, partnership relations and funding.
  • One to two years overseas work and/or study experience, preferably in at least two world regions.
The incumbent must demonstrate advanced knowledge of, and experience in:
  • Management and administration of post-secondary global partnerships and protocol;
  • College administration, including programs of study, academic regulations, registration procedures and the full range of student services;
  • Learning outcomes and inclusive curriculum design;
  • Institutional risk management, safety and liability issues;
  • Marketing and communications, including website social media skills;
  • Internal and external partnership and stakeholder development;
  • Team leadership and development;
  • Communication and public speaking skills;
Fluency in a second language other than English strongly preferred. Languages considered valuable to the success of this position include, but are not limited to, Spanish, Japanese, Hindi, Punjabi, Mandarin, Vietnamese
