- The Manager, Training is a key role responsible for providing leadership to the largest team in the organization. You are a transformational leader, who can lead virtual, cross-functional teams with a common vision and objective. You will drive opportunities to optimize the customer experience as leader of:
- A frontline support team
- A training delivery team that is responsible for more than 50 courses delivered nationwide.
- A team that works with hundreds of training partners across the country to deliver safety training and services.
- Seek an ongoing state of enhanced customer experience through the collection and assessment of student feedback, analysis of end-to-end processes and recommend process improvements. Establish, implement and maintain positive relationships and customer experience with ESC\xe2\x80\x99s Authorized Training Providers and Certified Instructors.
- Oversee development and delivery of department operational plans in alignment with ESC\xe2\x80\x99s strategic plan. Review department performance to monitor progress of training metrics and delivery of initiatives/projects to set timelines, budgets in adherence to the ESC Project Management System.
- Oversee delivery, maintenance and assessment of departmental Operational Management Manuals (OMM) outlining critical processes and procedures in alignment with ESC\xe2\x80\x99s Operational Management System. Ensure training is supported, delivered and evaluated in accordance with the OMM, privacy standards and ESC\xe2\x80\x99s mission. Make recommendations to increase departmental efficiency and stakeholder satisfaction through process improvements.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to members of the Training team. Lead the team in goal setting, conduct regular one-on-one check-ins with direct reports, establish two-way communication with the team and initiate performance management in a timely matter, when required.
- Oversee departmental budget, forecasting and contractor management functions. Ensure a sound knowledge of departmental budgets and provide guidance to budget owners on activity-based forecasting. Understand critical contracts (e.g., print/ship, contact centre, etc.) within the Training department and ensure contractor management practices are in alignment with ESC\xe2\x80\x99s standards.
- Other duties as required
- Post-secondary degree, preferably a master\xe2\x80\x99s degree in higher education administration or business administration.
- 15+ years working in a management role
