What you'll do:

Store Operations

  • You will assist in establishing short-term strategies, goals, and objectives for the store in alignment with the strategic plan, as a manager trainee of a store with multiple product categories, and a member of the store leadership team.
Leadership and Talent Management
  • You will learn to develop coaching and development techniques for team members and team leaders, assisting the store manager in providing day-to-day direction and guidance.
Marketing and Advertising
  • You will take part in all aspects of the marketing, advertising and merchandising plan of the store. As training and confidence builds, expectations will be that you will offer input into the weekly and seasonal plans that will drive location success.
Budgeting
  • You will learn the various reports required to analyze budgeted sales and expenses.
Customer Satisfaction
  • You will assist in maintaining customer satisfaction levels and identify areas for improvement.
Employee Health and Safety
  • You will participate as a member of the safety committee and be knowledgeable of all the policies and procedures required to maintain COR standards, and ensure staff are accountable for following all safety, maintenance, and asset protection policies.

Who you are:

You are looking for a career in Retail Store Operations and:
  • You have a Grade 12 Diploma.
  • You have a minimum of 3 - 6 years of experience in a retail environment (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered).
  • Preference for food store management experience.
  • You're familiar with developing relationships with external and internal customers on complex issues and transactions.
  • You have experience with coaching and providing feedback to other team members.
  • You have the ability to control operational costs, maximize operational efficiency, and improve sales and growth margin.
  • You're honest and trustworthy, are results oriented and strive to be the best in what you do.
  • You believe in collaboration, building relationships and value the perspectives of others.
