We are looking for a professional with solid problem solving and banking operation experience.As a Banking Operations Manager Trainee, you will be developing and enhancing needed skills to be responsible for leading a team to provide product and service support to the Bank and its front-line sales team on execution of administrative and operational tasks.Key Responsibilities: Loan Administration & Banking Operations:

  • Supervise and control loan operations in an efficient and accurate manner servicing all stakeholders.
  • Responsible for the preparation, communication, and correct execution of all entries relating to new and existing loans documentation and transaction.
  • Supervise and manage loan files including PPR registrations, diary system, bank confirmations, credit reports, land title search, loan evolvement and tax confirmations.
  • Utilizing sound due diligence, ensuring all loan documentations are complete and are processed in accordance to bank policies and procedures to the best interest of the bank.
  • Act as a point of escalation to manage and control the process of loan repayment and report any irregularity to management related to any overdue, delinquent, problematic, and non-performance loan account.
  • Supervise and maintain accurate entries of debit card, ATM payment service, incoming & outgoing clearing/remittance activities.
  • Provide guidance and consultation to all branches in trouble shooting and error corrections in order to co-operate with accounting system.
  • Maintain accurate reports and timely submission to relevant stakeholders, including regulators and government agency.
  • Seek continual improvement opportunities to streamline work process.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned by management.
Settlement:
  • Identify trade settlement issues while offering solutions to minimize risk and costs.
  • Maintain accurate files for compliance, audit, and regulatory purposes.
  • Provide periodic reports to management and relevant stakeholder.
  • Establish and maintain good relationship with corresponding banks.
Trade Finance and L/C Services:
  • Supervise and complete Trade Finance related operations, including new facilities set up, boarding, drawdown and disbursement, repayment, amendment, settlement and discharge, etc.
  • Handle customer inquiry and complaints to ensure customer satisfaction. Closely liaise with other department/team and stakeholders to ensure a smooth operation.
Key Qualifications:
  • 3 to 5 years of related proven and progressive work experiences in a Canadian Banking Institution.
  • Sound knowledge of the fundamentals of personal (mortgages) and commercial credit and account administration gained through minimum of one year experience in both personal mortgage/loan setups.
  • Experience as a team lead. Experience working alongside management an asset.
  • Proven organizational, planning, analytical, problem-solving, customer service and communication skills.
  • Bilingual in Mandarin or Cantonese as asset.
