Pickering Casino Resort is seeking a Full-Time Table Games Manager!

Under the general direction of the General Manager (Assistant General Manager in the interim) with a dotted line to the Regional Director, Table Games - GTA, this position is responsible for the overall management and profitability of the table games operations at the site level. Assists with the planning and directing of table games strategic plans. Develops performance objectives and delivers performance evaluations for direct reports. Implements all new table games initiatives as directed. Actively participates in the recruitment and hiring process. Ensures adherence to the Company\'s policies and procedures, motivates and leads by example and supports Great Canadian\'s learning environment while establishing a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members.

The ideal candidate is an energetic professional with proven knowledge, skills and abilities, executing the following in support of the company\'s vision, mission and values:

  • Provides leadership, direction and mentoring to the table games operation; develops performance objectives and delivers performance evaluations for direct reports
  • Implements table games strategic plans as directed
  • May monitor slot operations at some locations
  • Co-signs cheques for verified winners
  • Monitors all table games reporting including labor costs
  • Proposes improvements to the floor plan and gaming mix; implements changes as directed
  • Promotes and participates in all table games marketing initiatives
  • May act as Shift Manager
  • Responds to and resolves issues as escalated
  • Liaises and communicates effectively with all appropriate operational departments
  • Develops and cultivates strong working relationships with all stakeholders: guests, ownership and team members
  • Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
  • Manages other initiatives as required
Successful applicants will demonstrate the following qualifications:
  • High School Diploma; Post Secondary education or suitable combination of education and experience an asset
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in gaming management
  • Smart Serve Certification Required
  • Ability to exceed internal and external customer expectations through timely, effective and service oriented communication
  • Computer literacy in MS Office
  • Ability to successfully obtain a Gaming License
Candidates must be ready and willing to work at both locations, a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays and overnights. The hours of work and location will be based on operational needs. Ready to embark on your next adventure?
