Your Opportunity

Our Ottawa office is looking for a Manager to join the Strategy & Transformation team and own the following responsibilities:

• Manage and develop a high-quality team working directly with clients to solve complex business problems in various areas including project management capacity development, business planning, performance, management, portfolio management, business process design and organizational transformation.
• Lead client engagements from inception to close, using your business acumen, project management skills and professional experience to generate insights and create value
• Build trusting relationships across BDO\xe2\x80\x99s diverse teams of business service professionals, including a deep local and national network of specialists in Tax, Accounting, Financial Advisory, Digital Technology and Legal Services
• Develop business opportunities with new and existing BDO clients individually and as part of cross functional sales pursuit teams, including thought leadership and marketing innovation to grow your and BDO\xe2\x80\x99s presence in the local business community
• Develop informative, compelling, and persuasive client-facing project deliverables, presentations and collateral materials using your command of publishing resources (including but not limited to MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, Collaboration Tools, etc.)

Your experience and education

• Critical thinker
• Preferably a minimum of 5 years as a management consultant, experienced working with clients to solve problems to identify and engage critical stakeholders, identify opportunities, improve performance, address growth challenges, set and/or support strategic direction
• Experience working on large organizational transformations, technology transformations, or program management
• You have experience in Ottawa\xe2\x80\x99s target industries \xe2\x80\x93 Public Sector, Not-For-Profit, Technology & Life Sciences
• Verifiable track record providing management consulting experience in strategy & operations as well as in achieving revenue targets through business development, managing complex projects on time and budget, and leading cross-functional teams soft-skills
• Bachelor\'s Degree in business and/or related field (MBA is an asset)
• Professional designation is an asset. (CMC, PMP, CPA, Prosci, Lean Six Sigma etc.)
• You have excellent communication skills \xe2\x80\x93 both verbal and written \xe2\x80\x93 in English; Bilingual capacity in French is considered an asset
• You have a verifiable track record of achieving revenue targets through business development, managing complex projects on time and budget, and leading cross-functional teams
• You have or qualify to obtain a Government of Canada security clearance
