About the Opportunity

Reporting to and in conjunction with the Director Seniors and Frailty Care and Social Work, the Manager plans, develops, implements, coordinates, evaluates and manages all activities and resources of a coordinated and integrated Seniors, Frailty, Mobility and Social Work Program for the Northern Zone. The seniors\' program will be based on evidence, using population health approach addressing identified health needs of the zone while promoting relationships within NSHA, various communities, and interest groups. The Manager collaborates with the multidisciplinary team and stakeholders to ensure effective and efficient program delivery. The Manager is involved in the development and management of intersectoral service delivery programs in the Northern Zone.

The Manager ensures that the principle and practices that guide NSH such as the vision, mission, values, expected behaviours, the leadership philosophy, organizational health, population health, ethics, safety, quality, partnerships and interprofessional collaboration are visible at the front line and within daily activities.

About You

We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

  • Bachelors\' degree related to healthcare or management is required.
  • Current designation with professional association; Social Work, Occupational Therapy/Physiotherapy, Nursing
  • Master\'s degree related to healthcare or management is preferred.
  • Minimum of five (5) years recent related experience, including at least two (2) years experience in a formal leadership role with responsibilities related to program planning, evaluation, human resource, partnerships and financial management.
  • Experience with seniors and frailty care, LTC and Continuing Care sectors is required.
  • Information systems - ability to work within Microsoft Office suite.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with seniors in a health care setting.
  • Demonstrated clinical knowledge relevant to the seniors\' population.
  • Demonstrated judgement and decision making skills demonstrated through analysis and synthesis, problem solving, systems thinking and emotional intelligence.
  • Demonstrated ability to define a vision and guide individuals and groups toward the vision while maintaining group cohesiveness, motivation, commitment and effectiveness.

  • Sound knowledge of programming related to the seniors population.
  • Sound knowledge of and demonstrated compliance with standards, ethics and legislation.
  • Travel is required.

Hours
  • Permanent, Full-time (100%) position; 75 hours bi-weekly
