Position Summary
The RMT Clinic Manager plays a key administrative and leadership role within Kootenay Columbia College. This position oversees the daily operations of the Student Massage Therapy Clinic, ensuring a professional, educational, and compliant clinical environment. The Clinic Manager supports curriculum delivery, leads clinic supervisors, and helps students prepare for the practical component of their provincial licensing examinations.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the primary contact and support for all Student Massage Clinic Supervisors
Ensure compliance with college and clinic policies for both students and supervisors
Collaborate with the administrative team to align clinical operations with curriculum objectives
Prepare and deliver Supervised Instructional Time (S.I.T.) tutorials
Maintain accurate student clinical hour records and conduct logbook reviews
Assist in the recruitment, orientation, and ongoing support of clinic supervisors
Contribute to the creation and maintenance of the Supervisor and Clinic Handbooks
Act as a Clinic Supervisor as needed
Provide support as a Teaching Assistant and during practical examinations
Design, review, and update clinic documentation and forms in collaboration with administration
Troubleshoot clinic-related issues and propose procedural improvements
Address client complaints and practice-related concerns in a professional manner
Monitor ethical and professional conduct, escalating issues to Administration as required
Conduct formal meetings with Clinic Supervisors three times per year
Oversee student evaluations, practical exams, and oral assessments
Assist with the organization and staffing of outreach and in-reach clinics
Manage clinic inventory and communicate supply needs to the Program Manager
Qualifications and Requirements
Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) in good standing with the
College of Complementary Health Professionals of BC (CCHPBC)
Minimum
5 years of clinical and instructional experience
preferred
Experience supervising or managing in a clinical or educational environment
Strong knowledge of
CCHPBC standards
, clinical supervision, and compliance requirements
Proven ability to prepare students for board practical examinations
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
Proficiency with documentation systems, logbooks, and scheduling software
