Reporting to the Sr. Marketing Manager, the Retail and Wholesale Marketing Manager is responsible for delivering and supporting all brand marketing programs for Canadian Retail and Wholesale channels. Collaborate and work cross-functionally, with Retail and Sales, to understand the business goals by season, and to build and execute compelling marketing programs aligned to brand priorities and initiatives. Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the development and execution of seasonal marketing strategies for our owned retail and wholesale partners in Canada that are aligned with brand priorities and positioning, to increase traffic (in-store and online) and drive revenue goals
  • Partner with Sales, Retail, Planning, Creative and Global teams to drive execution and production of all marketing materials of our retail partners
  • Be the liaison between Canadian retailers, sales and marketing, working cross-functionally with, Creative, Visual Merchandising, Public Relations, Events, and Digital teams to ensure all marketing efforts are aligned
  • Measure, report on and evaluate the effectiveness and return on investment of marketing initiatives and recommendations for the future
  • Support the creation of retail marketing collateral (including ads and assets) based on brand objectives, positioning and industry
  • Identify market, store and partner-specific opportunities and recommendations for marketing initiatives to drive awareness and reach new relevant audiences
  • Unify retail and wholesale strategy, development and executional marketing calendar to ensure alignment across all customer touchpoints
  • Develop the NSO and pop-up marketing strategy as it relates the local markets in order to drive footfall and engagement
  • Manage the topline relationship and expectations with external suppliers to ensure optimal execution and increased value creation from these partners
  • Communicate marketing and relevant display requirement to the field VM team
  • Create reports on activity with sales figures, engagement and ROI
  • Develop strong relationships with Wholesale accounts to create meaningful marketing campaigns with a measurable ROI
  • Deliver assets and supporting marketing materials to Wholesale accounts to promote the brand
  • Live, endorse and promote Canada Goose values

Experience, Education and Designations:
  • Minimum 5-7 years experience in a management position in a global consumer goods company
  • University degree in Marketing or General Business or arts

Knowledge, Skills and Attributes:
  • Industry – Ideally in apparel / retail / fashion / outdoor
  • Strong quantitative skills – forecasting/budgeting – with a commercial mindset
  • Team management skills and ability to foster strong cross-functional relationships
  • Experience in strategic planning and project/process management strong
  • Is agile and had a strong ability to problem solve
  • A genuine passion for Canada Goose and an understanding of consumer perception
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong stakeholder and peer-to-peer relations specifically with the sales and VM functions
  • Leadership
  • Open-minded
  • Team player
