The Dining Room Manager plays a key role in handling the day-to-day operations of the dining room, bar and staff. Creating a positive and efficient team environment that leaves guests with an unforgettable dining experience every time. The F&B Manager works closely with the Bar Manager and Head Chef to bring seamlessness within all departments. Get ready to create once in a lifetime relationships and memories while working in the beautiful north! RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Train all new employees and refresh returning staff on proper food handling, menu items, drink pouring techniques, sequence of service, restocking, and cash-out procedures.
  • Manage all FOH staff and Supervisors.
  • Work closely with General Manager to ensure company policies and standards are being met and exceeded.
  • Responsible for product ordering, inventory, and scheduling.
  • Ensure the venue is always presentable and ready for service.
  • Perform Dining Room Supervisor duties when necessary, scheduled shifts required.
  • Handle guest complaints according to provided guidelines.
  • Visit guest tables consistently for quality checks while on the property.
  • Program and maintain the POS database, with the ability to fix problems in the system during service.
  • Schedule and oversee off-site needs for catering events including creating menus, liquor orders, staffing for service, set-up/tear-down, and transportation.
  • Perform general administrative duties including; email communications with vendors and fellow Managers, generating and maintaining forms and reference documents, and attending monthly safety and general meetings.
  • Generate and maintain forms in accordance with Disciplinary Action and Workplace Injuries in a prompt manner. Assist as needed in menu development and creation.
  • Contribute effectively to a positive guest experience while maintaining a professional attitude and appearance.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Prior restaurant experience is required.
  • Experience in a leadership position(s) and restaurant operations; including management and inventory control, preferably in a hotel or member\xe2\x80\x99s club environment is desired.
  • BARS Training/Certification is an asset.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs./23 kg.
  • Minimum age of 19 years is required to serve alcohol in the Yukon.
  • Must pass a pre-employment background check.
  • Minimum age of 18 years is required to reside in company housing, where available.
  • Participates in HAP\xe2\x80\x99s sustainability program, aka \xe2\x80\x9cSustain Alaska & the Yukon\xe2\x80\x9d, and efforts by actively recycling (where available), reducing waste, and educating guests about our commitment to the environment.
  • Participate in HAP\xe2\x80\x99s safety culture to ensure a safe workplace for all team members and a safe vacation experience for all guests.

  • Must be eligible to legally work in Canada.

  • Ability to prioritize work while maintaining attention to time constraints, working independently or in a team environment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks and external influences.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while achieving daily goals.
  • Ability to support and comply with company policies, procedures, and guidelines including support and comply with company health and safety standards.
  • Ability to stand/walk/work on feet for a minimum of 8 hours per day.
